Another busy work day and I’m beat but still made dinner even though I’ve been wanting takeout. Nothing fancy but filling, nutritious and inexpensive and that’s all that counts.

Had to fill up today 172.9 :O that’s just insane. Looks like I’m going to have to increase my rates. I’ve never done it but sadly this may be the straw that camel’s back

Finishing up laundry for tomorrow and clean up after dinner before hitting the bike and then off to bed to hopefully get a solid night’s sleep. Finger crossed.

    Good Morning Everyone,
I slept last night which was amazing last night but a little rough this morning, my body did not want to get up, it wanted more sleep. I did sleep in a little bit until 7 am. Sometime working late comes in handy, I worked until 8:30 last night getting some stuff ready for our staff for today so sleeping in, no problem.

I did get a couple of random things done around the yesterday, nothing huge but taking the just do one thing approach. I did a quick pantry tidy as we had some grocery bags in the pantry that needed to be put away. I washed some towels we had in the basement after the flood, incase we flooded again. Since the water proofing has been done, we have had no leaks, I washed the towel and put them away. Now I need to reorganize the linen closet LOL but that is a task for another day.

As I thought Mom did not want the peppers so instead we ended up having Breakfast for dinner: Eggs, Bacon & a Potato Pancake

No ideas for dinner tonight yet, will see how I feel as the day goes on.

We are supposed to get some snow today, my weather app says it has already started and literally as I type this it just started. Let's hope we do not get a lot of snow, we have enough the snow banks are getting insane.

    Happy Thursday Everyone

hello. We got the car back yesterday and all was ok for now so nice low bill of $200. We then brought muffins over for a surprise drop in visit at my parents.
Today has been kind of chill, I guess, more procrastination but I know I'll get things done this weekend at some point.
I'm pulling out my veggie and flower seeds tomorrow and I'll start to strategize. I'm also going to try both sprouting and microgreens with arugula, cress for our daughter's visit for family day weekend.

Have a wonderful weekend and hope you get to watch some Olympic events.

I took a couple of breaks this morning. I have some uploads I need to run and they take up a lot of the systems resources so I will run them after we close so will all balance out in the end.

I got the Kitchen cleaned, dishwasher emptied, nothing to go back in, hand dishes done and I mopped the kitchen floor so that is done.

I tried vacuuming the floor instead of sweeping it, meh. But it might be the design of my vacuum as the vacuum head was really getting stuck on the ridges in the tiles. Plus I really need a crevice cleaning for the tight corners. Yes, still dreaming about the vacuum I saw at Costco with the attachments.

I have been thinking maybe a steam mop would work on this floor, I seriously hate cleaning our kitchen floor, it is such a pain and I do not have have the $$$ to replace the tile. But I am worried if it does not work I have wasted the $$$ on a steam mop I do not need.

There are a few things I need to pick up for around the house:
New railing for the staircase going upstairs, 2 of the holes are stripped and the screws do not hold.

Bookcase for the bottom of the stairs, we are working on getting rid of most of our cookbooks, we just do not use them. But, there are some we want to keep but we want to move them out of the living so the plan is to put a bookcase at the bottom of the stairs to put them on.

Paint, if we are putting a bookcase at the bottom of the stairs I would like to paint that wall before we put the bookcase there, only issue is what colour? If I had my way I would paint the whole house grey, it is my colour but do not think that will go over well. Mom wants grey in the living room but has not decided on a colour for the hallway.

A new Kitchen Faucet, it has only been a couple of years since we last replaced but I have noticed it has started to drip when it is turned off.

I need to take some time and make a plan for the weekend, I still have not started the Hallway Tidy, maybe this afternoon. I admit, I keep putting it off.

@SassyAshley have you tried the Vileda Spin Mop? Using 1/2 teaspoon of powdered tide and screaming hot water works really well plus not costly.

It was a beautiful sunny day here but alas I had to work . Still stretching my last shop over the week that it was supposed to last so that’s good. Dh needed coffee so we picked some up after getting our boosters this afternoon.

Dinner was a Pinot pocket I had in the freezer with a side salad so still eating at home

Going to try to get some laundry done and then my last core class of this week is tonight and then planning on a ride, no weights today.

@Herbie , I have the Wal-Mart version and it is literally the only mop this floor does not destroy. The issue is we are 99.7% sure we have wall tiles on our floor so they have all sorts of bumps and crevices that are hard to clean. Not to mention it is so hard to stand on so we have anti-fatigue mats all over the floor.

I have come to learn I don't hate cleaning, actually enjoy cleaning, it is great to ease my anxiety, I think it is the shift in focus. But I hate when I have to clean before I clean.

Like the kitchen floor, you have to sweep the mats, move the mats, then I can sweep and mop the floor, then I have to mop the mats and put them back. To have a normal kitchen floor, I can just sweep and mop without all the other steps. Or even a floor I could do a quick clean with a Swiffer wetjet.

    Good Morning Everyone,
    Ugg, ups and downs.

I had a post written out but decided nope. I had an amazing week this week, work stuff is in process, I got to focus on my job it was nice. House stuff, I got most of the day to day stuff so I do not have to spend the weekend doing it. Dinners were on track we only had one quick meals this week. It was amazing.

I got an email last night and that on top of a few other things that happened, I broke a little last night. I just felt like the universe was knocking me backwards a few things were falling apart. I was overwhelmed, I was spinning and in came the anxiety.

Real life, this morning I woke up and was still in that same place mentally. I did not sleep well and honestly I wanted to spend today being made at the world.

But, I have had a cup of tea, my post that I deleted got my rant out and not I have decided I am going to shift my focus and I am going to spend the day in the kitchen cooking and baking because that is my happy place. I have no plan for today but I am going with it, today is a me day.

    Happy Saturday Everyone

Good morning. Laundry, kitchen cupboard culling and indoor rowing and cycling on the schedule today. Seed sorting will happen at some point as well this weekend.

Tonight is movie night mixed with Olympics. We signed up for a year's subscription with the Disney Plus channel (note $12.50 cashback offer via Rakuten). The sound and picture quality is phenomenal and we are super excited to watch new movies and shows that we almost rented online. phew...lucky we procrastinated. I'm looking forward to making a giant bowl of popcorn

Think it's pasta for dinner tonight with peppers and sausage.
