Good Morning! Dry grey day here.
Today- Work-Gym-bit of roaming around town.
Didn't leave the house yesterday so I need to get out today.
Have a load of laundry to hang up to dry (our casual wear, yoga/casual pants/hoodies etc)
Will toss in a load of towels and dry and fold and put away.
Dinner- Not sure. We have eaten all the leftovers. Will go pull something from the freezer and make something wonderful
Today was payday so paid all the bills/transferred funds to accounts. Transferred $ to Visa for credit for vacation in 25 days.
Have a fantastic day!

@HermanH , I understand getting older but I really do truly feel that the Pandemic has sped up this process for many of the elderly. We were all told to stay at home, they lost their interaction with the outside world and in many cases lost the movement and activity staying in their houses. I realize there were options to get out but at the same time there was also such a fear and I see why some did not leave their homes.
I look at my family and yes, Mom has arthritis but I do truly believe the pandemic accelerated the process because she lost movement, she didn't go out. She has had issues in the past with Phenomena and when she gets a cold it affects her lungs and since I was already leaving the house for work, I did everything. My mom is not one to go out for a walk, that is her, heck that is me if it wasn't for work and I was put in the plant where I did laps of the building all day.
Then you look at my Opa, he used to come in one of the plants everyday but to keep him safe, he stopped coming in, they stopped going out. His adventures out of the house became going to get take-out, through a drive-thru because they felt it was safe.
I know a girl at work, feels the same way with her Mom, she sees it with her Mom as well.
I do truly believe there truth behind keeping your mind and bodies busy.
Now, we are dealing with this, between the pandemic and an increase in cases surgery is a 2 year-wait and getting most help has a waitlist, we are doing the best we can.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good Morning Everyone,
I knew it was going to be a day when I woke up this morning and my first thought was "Good news is it is Friday so I don't have to get up early tomorrow." Only to realize 2 seconds later, No, it is Thursday.
I did see a few good deals I want to take advantage of but there is nothing we "need" right now so with the snow coming in (although living in denial, it will miss us), I have decided to hold off shopping until next week. Next week I will probably venture to RCSS as they seem to have the best sales for us this week.
I had to laugh yesterday, one of the things we needed from Costco was snacks so I grabbed Mom a bag of Popcorn at Food Basics but was thinking oh I better go shopping and grab something else with the snow coming in who knows when I will shop. But then I realized there is a Homemade Snack Mix I make that Mom loves and I bought everything to make it over Shut Down and never did. Sometimes the simplest solution does not always come to me first LOL.
I haven't been outside but I feel like it is cold out, the house has a chill so thinking I might make Cheesy Garlic Focaccia and Potato Soup for dinner but will see how Mom feels when she gets up. Oh, or I could make Broccoli Cheddar Soup.
Happy Thursday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Sassy -i truly believe that the pandemic did a lot of harm .I couldnt bring myself to go visit my older brother more often ,because they lived in an apartment .I didnt want to be in small spaces with people in the height of the covid time.So i missed seeing him ,he passed 2 years ago .Mind you i did go see him in the hospital but he wasnt in a great state to see.
I have dealt with so much sickness the past few months it has brought my spirit down .I still went to my brothers open house dec15 and a 75th birthday last weekend .I thought should i go i am being honest with you even thou i have all my shots, but we have to live life right.
My grandchildren suffered with their school work when they had to go online as they were so little in school just starting and ashlyn just couldnt do it (she has ADHD)On appointments little cara had to suffer thru high temps and sick 5 to 6 times the past few years as she wanited for an ENT specialist appt 1 and a half years .Finally she is getting her tonsils out soon they said .
So ashley i do agree with you ,i have less motivation some days if that is because of the lockdown or old age i am not sure but i do know we need to listen to our bodies.

My doctor has told me that I need to use my arthritic joints in order have the fluids circulate within them. While it may be painful, I hope that your mom starts moving to regain her range of motion. I think that much of it can be re-gained, even after an absence of movement.
My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

I pulled some cooked chicken from the freezer and made DS a batch of chicken fried rice. It won't last long.
Now to figure out dinner... have veggies to use (mushrooms not even opened!) I could make a veggie pasta (Don't feel like cooking shrimp...just want simple tonight)

We have a lot of snow and it is still coming down heavy!
I shoveled and once done I did a 2nd round and there was lots!
Will keep on it tonight- This will be my gym outing since I do not want to go anywhere.
My neighbour came home when I was out and said it took her a long time to get home from the other side of town.

Good Morning Everyone,
It is still snowing here, I think it stopped sometimes overnight but has started again. Will have to shovel today.
So happy it is Friday, I am so looking forward to this long weekend, I need it.
Last night we ended up having Breakfast for Dinner (Eggs & Bacon), now thinking tonight will be Soup and Cheesy Garlic Focaccia.
I am trying to find my focus, I have a bunch of policies to get out today for work and then I will set my schedule for next week.
I really need to get back on track with some house stuff so that will be my focus for the weekend as well as some prepping. I really want to get some stuff in the freezer that Mom can just heat and eat if I am working in a branch and she is having a bad day.
Happy Friday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

CRA is showing my tax return for 2022 as being under review and estimating the full eight weeks for assessment. Usually, they're not this slow as in previous years, especially if it's early. They're probably giving me their full attention since I filed on paper.
In other news, my toilet paper stockpile has seen better days. It used to be decent since before covid happened and now it's time to start looking for sales. What is a good price for toilet paper now? Is there a thread where it was discussed? Any direction is appreciated!

Morning -i helped my neighbour who is 79 shovel her driveway (the end of it) hey i will be that age one day .Her hubby had a stoke and she doesnt want him doing it .No worries i said glad to help.
Sweet sparrow-my toilet stockpile consists for 3 pkgs .I just cant seem to find great deals like we use to ,never 4.99 for 24 anymore .More like 5.99 on sale maybe better to buy the bigger packages .No i dont have a costco membership and i find their kirkland toilet paper rough anyway -no thanks .
Just tossed a pair of pants they had holes in the behind -had them for years so glad i got a black pair before xmas at cleo for $22 half off -but they are too thin for winter.
Off to watch the girls at 3.45 tonight til 6.00 p.m son is on nights then off for a week .We are going to help him paint his livingroom next week .
I got my grandkids a small valentines gifts t-shirts for the girls 4.00 from old navy few months back and a cadbury chocolate bar 2.50 plus a 2.00 toy you turn into a bouncy ball. For sebastian his shirt was $5.39 gap and then the same as the girls.
Hubby and i havent bought cards or gifts in years for valentines but i sure do love my grandkids !!

Good morning ladies! TGIF!! and a long weekend too.
This morning I did a 7 a.m. run to get gas and then onto to W-Mart. A dollar for 10 lbs. of potatoes? woo hoo!! I nearly loaded a bag 2 lb. bag of carrots
in my cart priced at $1.97 when I found a huge bag of monster large carrots on the reduced cart! Easily more than 5 lbs. in there for $2.00 and another
$1.00 bag with 2 sleeves of green onions, 1 large gala apple, 4 bell peppers and 4 large tomatoes. I love it when they make bags up with a combo of fresh
fruits and veg. They had JUST replenished the reduced cart moments before I pulled up to it.
I also grabbed 2 of the Maple Leaf whole chx's. Each of them were under $7.00 and 1 of them is already Air Fryer roasted up and in the fridge. I feel I've
knocked enough off of the to-dolist today.
Stay safe shoveling @coupon girl , you're so right that one day THAT age your neighbour is now will be us!
