    Good Morning Everyone,
Today is not going as planned, it has been a super slow start to the day. I woke up with a headache and no ambition.

Then I sat here for 2 hours knowing I needed to eat something but nothing sounded appealing so I just sat here spinning in cirlces. Finally decided on a slice of Everything Bread with some Cucumber Spread and Fruit Salad made from Pear, Clementine and Blueberries with a Lime & Honey Dressing.

I went on Pinterest to look for a recipe and went down a rabbit hole. I am not sure why, but I am craving all things sweet right now. Instead of finding the recipe I was looking for I planned about 6 sweet treats I could make.

I am torn on Dinner tonight, I cannot decide between Chicken Parmesan or Beef Stroganoff.

Honestly, I feel like I am in a bit of a funk. I feel like I am falling back into the funk of well I should but am I going too. Or knowing I need to make dinner but it is because I have to, the excitement to cook isn't there. So I am hoping to recoup and reset this weekend and start fresh next week.

    Happy Saturday Everyone.

Just came back fro sobeys and dollarama

I decided to get the fruit tray at sobeys 12.99 as its cheaper than fortinos 16.99,plus sobeys had my schneiders meat pies on for 4.99 so got 2,then got a few other sale items used my 20.00 in scene points .

Spent 34.00 in dollarama they have aveeno body wash on for 5.00 which is a good deal,as i never see body wash for 3.99 anymore softsoap is often on sale 4.49.

Just relaxing before we go out tonight.Called my son and cara now has strep throat (goodness that little one is always sick )she is on meds as of yesterday .I cant wait to see what the ear nose and throat specialist says to my daughter-in-law next week concerning little cara-they have waited a whole year for this appointment.

@coupon girl, kids in school are germ magnets.

Also now we have kids in school who due to pandemic never developed a proper immune system. My cousin's two youngest, one is always sick and they pass it back and forth.

@SassyAshley and @walkonby thanks for your feedback! although nice to know I'm not alone with the weather and its affects I'm sorry that you have to go through it too.
Beautiful day in this part of the world with the most welcomed sunshine! Man does it ever lift one's spirits..I could just skip and break out in song!...right...
Indeed "sales" still lacking and we'll see if indeed Metro raises their prices as mentioned.Apart from sale items and whatever worthy Air Miles offers I can't afford to shop there on a regular basis. I feel for people who don't have a car nor transit nearby or can't use them, that have no choice where to shop
Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

    Good Morning Everyone,
I got nothing done yesterday, I feel the whole debate on breakfast pretty much summed up my day. I knew I had a ton of stuff I needed to do but my body just went nope.

Although we did make Beef Stroganoff for dinner. It was so good, I have been craving it for awhile but just never made it.

Originally I had planned on Chicken Parmesan but we had a leftover piece of Pizza Dough in the fridge we used to make a little Pizza for lunch so I thought Chicken Parmesan would be too much.

Tonight's dinner is a mystery, we have options just not craving anything. Well, I am craving Chicken Tenders but since I do not deep fry and Mom doesn't doesn't like them in the oven or air fryer it means Mom would have to fry them. Will see how she is feeling when she gets up but thinking not the best since I heard her get up at 10:30 and she went back to bed, usually a sign she isn't feeling well.

There are so many things I need to get done today but honestly, again I have no ambition. Hoping after I have breakfast I will find some. I am trying the viral custard toast that was apparently all over TikTok last year. I do not have TikTok but found it on Pinterest and I am always looking for new Breakfast ideas.

I did spend some time on Pinterest yesterday looking for new recipes. I did not find many for dinners but I did find a few breakfast ideas so I will try them over the next few weeks.

    Happy Sunday Everyone.

The weekends ARE for some R & R @SassyAshley , so good you just took a day! Mmmm, beef stroganoff sounds so inviting, been ages since we've had that as well.
Not a whole lot of frugal shopping happened this morning as DH came with me....ha ha . He was so helpful in areas where I needed a runner to find various items.
He'd disappear into an aisle and return minutes later with the exact thing I needed. So when he put a few treats in the cart, I turned a blind eye.
We cooked up a large batch of quickie pasta and meatballs ( used the large tray of 30 premade Marc Angelo meatballs ), baked a frozen garlic bread up.
That will be lunch, dinner and work meals for today and Monday...maybe even into Tuesday. Funny, we can eat multiple servings and not get sick of it.
Enjoy the remainder of Sunday all!

Another day of getting nothing, I am not know what is up but I have zero ambition. Actually, today I do not feel sick but I feel like I am fighting something off so not sure what is up with that, but let's fight it off.

I am proud of myself, when I realized I just wasn't going to get much done today, I did think about doing some work. My thought was if I can knock out a bunch of the stuff I have to do tomorrow, maybe I will find time tomorrow to get the house stuff done. BUT, then I realized I have no idea what is going to happen tomorrow and what happens if I put in 4 hours today and tomorrow is insane and I cannot walk away from my laptop.

I am really trying to cherish my weekends off and make them the norm vs getting the weekend off being a treat. But I will admit I know I have a super busy week this week. Although not sure if plans will change, I heard we have a change coming so not sure if that puts some of my plans on the backburners.

Tomorrow I am going to try to get it all done, work, house, prep and just see how it goes. I do not know why, I know it is going to be a busy week but I feel like it might get busier than I expect, so we shall see.

I did set up my budget for February, I had planned to do it last week but got side tracked and did not get it done. I know I spent a good chunk on groceries this week but still got lots of room in the budget, plus I have some carry-over so we will be good. But I do need to go to Costco, there are a staples I need to pick up.

Going to finish my budget and then hopefully finish a new Dish Cloth I have been crocheting, our current one is falling apart.

Walked past the RCSS dumpster and someone had abandoned a bag of perfectly good groceries.

4x loaves of bread (best before F 12), 3x cans of Tim Hortons soup, jar of jam, jar of spaghetti sauce, and bag of potato chips; all with 2025 best before dates. Odd, why anyone would do that. Oh, well. They'll fill my tummy just fine.

I washed four loads of laundry yesterday, since I hadn’t been home in 10 days. I was also freshening up our summer clothes, since we leave for Mexico in mid Feb. I was shocked to discover cuts in two of my favourite cotton blouses. Today Dh discovered a bobby-pin sticking out of one of the drain holes in the dryer. Dh had to use needle nosed pliers to remove the bobby-pin. I haven’t used bobby-pins in my hair in at least a year. Our sitter has occasionally used these in her hair…which is likely how the bobby-pin got into the washing machine. I’ll need to buy more dress shirts. Side note, I managed to get new second hand dress pants for myself, pants and pjs for Ds, and clothes for twin girl.

Tomorrow is my birthday. Dh had a dozen red roses delivered to the house when I was home on Friday. I hope they still look ok when I return to the house again on Friday. The rental house is over 2hrs away, and I didn’t want to transport the flowers that far.

Nothing exciting here this weekend. I bought some groceries but we leave Friday and the kids can sort them selves for meals. DS1 has a few things planned this week so they have leftovers and freezer meals next week. That is my kid. I am glad we leave next Friday because wow what a weekend for weather. Last Monday we have 30 cms and the NS house and then this weeend another dumping and with high winds.
I did pick up some bacon on Flashfood for 1.97. Since I never found the coupons this was a deal so I picked up 6 packages. That willing keep us in bacon for a while.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
