Grocery prices are absolute crazy! I know we already know this but wow!!! Even more so these days you need to shop the sales/clearance deals etc.
No going willy nilly in the store to pick up a craving!

Honestly @Frugalbigmama My adult kids AND even my DH don't fully comprehend how the prices are really impacting what I choose to toss in our grocery cart each week. They just think it's Mom doing her b*tching. This will hit them all at once when the things we normally treat ourselves to are no longer in the cupboard, stockroom, fridge or freezer. Until then I'll " calmly " grumble under my breath while walking through the aisles.

@HermanH yes they are thieves and they blame it on car thefts, fraud, etc. yet they continue to keep shareholders happy.

@coupongirl the Sobey’s gift card is also good at Freshco in Ontario if that’s a store close to you. I plan to buy 2x$200 (sadly for the east coast it’s 200.00 for the bonus) because I will go with the gas offer we get in NS. It’s 25 cents off a litre up to 75 litres and with a truck that’s easy to do. Here I can use the gift card at Foodland as well and since we have no option to price match I do sometimes pop in and it’s one of my closer stores anyway. I could also use it for gas if I wanted but because we get a further CAA/BMO discount I opt to only use it for groceries.
For those that opted in its a 20x air miles event Friday. My only purchases will be Sobeys and Shell but I should still do well with the offer.

@Ciel21 I'm so very sorry for this decision you face now. There is no understanding what you are going through so I'll not pretend to.
If your final wish is not to pass in a hospital then the hospice choice is right for you. (((hugs )))

Was out walking and saw a black lump of dirt(?) on the back of my calf. I thought not much of it and just flicked it off. However, upon closer examination, I saw a small bead of blood. I hope that I didn't just get bitten by a tick. It didn't look like one and it didn't move. Honestly, I just thought I had scratched myself with a nearby branch or bush. Geez, I hope that it won't lead to Lyme disease.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Oh what a week, I was in training all week with a Branch Manager and I made it my mission to not work from the time I got up until the time I went to bed. Which I did achieve the only night I really worked late was last night. It is just so hard to be a trainee all day and stay caught up on my own job especially when we have so many moving parts right now.

I told myself I would grocery shop Monday, didn't happen, so I said Tuesday, nope, than I said okay have to go Wednesday, again didn't happen which is fine we didn't "need" anything. But last night I did stop at No Frills did a nice shop to stock up on a few things, it was mostly produce plus we needed Milk. They have the Salad kits on sale so I grabbed 3, they are not something I would really buy as I could just make Salads but Mom likes them as they give a bit more variety and I am trying to make sure there is more produce with Dinner. I grabbed our usually Kale and Dill Pickle but also grabbed an Asian one to try.

I still want to make it to Food Basics, I was actually going to grocery shop my way home but then I left work later than I expected (I got pulled into an IT issue) and I had to get my car from Oma & Opa's, drop the loaner off at Dad's, plus go to the branch to drop off some stuff that was in my car so I had to skip Food Basics to make sure I made it before the branch closed.

Today is a catch up day, I have so much to get caught up on. Plus if I could get a little cleaning done so I don't have to do it all tomorrow that would be amazing. We will see how the day goes.

    Happy Friday Everyone.

Made it to Friday!!! Woohooo!! Blue sky and sunshine too!

Hockey night Heading down to my sister's later this afternoon for dinner/hockey/sleepover.
Packing the bags now and putting it all out in my car so nothing is forgotten.
Bringing stuff to make fudge with my niece. She wanted some at the festival we were at 2 weeks ago but I told her it is so easy to make and we would do so next time I was over.

Ok off to get this work day out of the way

As for my father I will wait the evolution of the situation.

    I cannot do much more....

Since my post on the Facebook Familly group of dad's side familly.

    My Godmother is inquiring more.

And one of the others sister had calling him inquiring about the situation and state she is there for him if needed.
