Lol, doesn't that pic look like a piece of steak. Its only gluten flour, water and seasonings, simmered for 45mins in a broth. I added a few more seasonings then they called for but I like to experiment, lol.

Trust me, if someone plunked that thing in front of me just like that, I wouldn't know where to start! lol
The chef served the crab legs in one dish with rice noodles, cooked with a ginger/onion sauce and the "body" was made into a curry rice dish along with whatever was inside of it. No special tools..we used chop sticks..and with some finger prodding, it was easy!

I had the seitan meatless steaks I made earlier. I fried them just to heat through in a bit of olive oil. Honestly it really turned out well and tasted good. I put with some sliced raw cucumbers and yellow peppers and salsa on the side.

    It totally looks like steak!
    What's the texture like?
I've had a really bad experience with making seitan...and it being mushy and gross..lol Kind of scarred.

Scrambled eggs and toast. My son has been wanting to learn to make basics, so this was his first time making them - he didn't realize it was so easy! Only addition he made that I never have - he was liberal with garlic powder, so that was a first for us!

Yeah it tasted good but was kinda spongy, lol but I still liked it. Also as far as how it looks it kinda depends on how you cut the pieces. I showed a couple people last night what it looked like and they were like holy crap it does look like meat, but how does it taste, lol. It doesn't taste like meat or have the texture of meat and won't fool anyone that's for sure.

Just to be clear I'm not vegan, but I think my diet is like 60% vegan right now. With that said, lol for lunch I had a panzerroti from pizza pizza. It was mozza cheese with pepperoni, and the sauce was buffalo wing sauce and blue cheese. With a small poutine on the side.

For dinner at like 7pm I'll have a couple of their italian meatball sandwiches. I put them in the fridge for now and will heat them up a bit later.

Thai glazed roast pork with Yorkshire puddings, new potatos and veggies. Probable broccoli and carrots.

The glaze is equal parts honey, dark soy and crushed garlic clove which is mixed and then poured over the roast and seasame seeds springled over it.

Well, I'm just thankful for sales on pork loin roast! Hehe... that just means it's easy to rope - uh, I mean ask my husband to make schnitzel! Usually he would make it maybe three times a year, now it's been more frequent, so we're all so happy!
We had bought two roasts, realized they were wonderful and cheap (4.14/kg, Sobey's), so went back and got four more. One roast sliced up makes a meal and a bit. So when I got them bagged to freeze, they are labeled 'for schnitzel only!'
Anyway, we had smashed potatoes and peas with them.

Tonight, supper will be pork souvlaki burgers with potato salad.
