Ok, so recently I have worked really hard and lost 25 lbs. I do admit I have probably another 30 to lose, and I'm working on it.
If one more person asks me if I am pregnant, I am going to scream!
How rude! It makes me feel like I lost 25 lbs for nothing!
I would never ask ANYONE if they were pregnant! Looking for some good responses, other than, "Um, no, just fat..."This thread is currently associated with: N/A2011 Wins: TLC "Say Yes to the Dress" Season 3 box set, Bissell Pro-Heat 2X Upright with a years worth of formula....

Good for you to lose all that weight! I have piles to lose, but haven't been motivated.
As for being asked if you're pregnant, I've gotten that too. That happened to me on my second day at my new job, over a year and a half ago now, the guy sits near me still - he didn't seem to see anything wrong with it at first, but apologized the next day. I assume someone told him that was very rude and he should apologize!
A coworker gave me the best comeback - you do not ask a woman if she is pregnant, unless you see a baby coming out of her. I would have said that, then, Do you see a baby coming out of me right now? Then NO. THAT would have shut up the turkey quick, and maybe made them think about asking another woman that question.Last edited by Zonny; Thu, Aug 23rd, 2012 at 09:16 PM.

Just say something like: " Yes.....AGAIN.....this is like my 6th kid.....I am going to need a break, my kids are such brats.....what night are you
available to babysit?"
Congrats on the weight loss....it is hard, so be proud

Congrats on your weight loss.
People suck
If it were me I would tell them I have an inoperable tumor. Let them suck on that for a while ,

Mmm. I told my neighbor a few days ago that I thought she was pregnant. I said 'Do you have a little one on the way' with a big smile while she was talking with my wife. She did, and said I was the 6th person to comment. She didn't look fat or anything, there's just a different look to a woman with child. A glow? Hard to describe. I certainly didn't mean any offense and it didn't seem like she took any.

When a person comes up to you and asks," Are you pregnant?"
You can answer, "Ask your husband" or "Ask your Dad"
I have used that line a couple of times. Most recently a friend asked me where I was last night and I said,"Ask your Dad" It just came out naturally I couldn't stop myself from saying it. LOL

I thankfully never got those comments. Even when I was pregnant. At the end of my 2 nd pregnancy my belly was way past my boobs and I felt huge. After I had him and took him out in public people would say congrats I didn't realize you were even pregnant.
Wow I know I wasn't count out as much at the end of my pregnancy but I thought it was really obvious.Intergalactic Proton Powered Electrical Tentacled Advertising Droids!

First off, congrats on all your hard work and your fabulous weight loss. Keep up the great work. Secondly, people never cease to amaze me. I;m not sure where a person would think saying something like that was ok???? If in doubt, don't shout!

Congratulations on your weight loss!
I get the pregnant comment all the time because I carry a lot of my weight in my belly. I'm a substitute teacher so kids are always asking me when my baby's due! I just smile and say "I'm not pregnant, I'm just big." they usually blush, apologize and run away. It happens so often I don't even let it bug me anymore..

Nice job on the weight loss!!!
Is there any chance that because you've lost so much weight that your tops aren't fitting well and might be giving the appearance that you have one on the way???
My sister once lost alot of weight, she didn't want to go out and buy new clothes until she had hit her goal weight. When she was wearing her old clothes, which definately were too big for her, you couldn't really tell that she had lost much weight because the clothes still gave the illusion that she was big.

Congrats, way to go on the weight loss. Ignore silly people if you can, although it can be shocking when people put their foot in their mouth.
