Oh, believe me ladies, you are not alone in the guilty sweet treat indulgence...I just find it amusing that we all feel so flippin guilty about it.

Dammit! Give me a big fat slab of cheesecake and I WILL eat it publicly!

I confess that AFTER I have eaten whatever I wasn't supposed to eat I check out this thread to see how bad I am on the bad-o-meter food scale. Like you say ninna...we all seem to be alike! lol

oh the thing I had yesterday? bulk container that holds the equivalent of maybe 12 Crispy Crunch style bars, oh I sooo ate 2 of them!!

WALKS!!! You didn't!!! All that hard work down the drain!......feel guilty enough now?

Oh, if it wasn't for those indulgences now and then, we'd never get through some of the bad/sad days or enjoy the "I deserve it" days. Go for it!
    I don't feel guilty about anything today.......so far.....the day isn't over, yet....

I made a dairy-free, fat-free, sugar-free chocolate cake yesterday. There was about a third gone last night after dinner with my parents (four people for dinner).

There is now only a third left - I wonder where that could have gone... I don't feel too too bad about it because it wasn't too bad for you on the scale of cakes,... But where is my self-control?

Is it still a confession if I don't feel the least bit guilty???

I confess that I ate not one, but TWO pieces of raspberry cheesecake tonight for dessert. oh my god. It was SO good...and I'm not sorry. At all.

Oh...and alicia? Sometimes self control is over-rated. Girl, you ran 10K a few weeks ago! The whole flippin cake coulda disappeared and it wouldn't matter in your case! 10K trumps cake every time.

I will confess to seeing this last weekend as the last nice sunny summer weekend. I’ve used this reason to justify drinking since Friday night non-stop.

I did a huge grocery shop since my parents were here and I had use of a car...My kitchen now looks like a 300lb person lives here....

Sad part is I confess that I already plan on going Tuesday to the No Frills near work to stock up on a few more cans of the cheap .99 lentil soup and see if they have the $2 pasta since the No Frills near my sister was completely cleared out. Plus I have a few coupons for stuff that I couldn't find there either and want to try my luck here at FreshCo and get some of the cheap ground chicken before I get too busy with work and school to go shopping regularly.

I am sooo going on a grocery shopping ban (except produce) until the majority of this stuff is ate up! I probably have enough in my freezer and cupboards for a couple of months at least or maybe more.

I'm sure the deal hunters on here understand my obsession with grocery shopping especially when No Frills does the $1 type deals...It's like I can't not shop or else I feel like I will be spending way more money later on when canned items are no longer this cheap! I think it's creeping my roommate out though because I bought so much stuff and we are completely out of storage room in the kitchen for any more food. Won't stop me from buying more on the cheap though...

I confess I let myself get sucked back into family drama. *SIGH* My nanny broke her arm and my mom was trying to message my brother (the one I am no longer talking to on Facebook) and couldn't get it to work so gave me her password and told me to message him. Turned out he had removed her as a friend. So she calls him and starts yelling at him and I'm telling her to stop because he'll just end up getting madder and he called me immature and Ms. High and Mighty when I used to go to their house to smoke up every day and his wife called me dumb and played the 'Stop bringing the baby into this when you know I can't have kids and it isn't my fault' card. I ended up writing her a facebook message apologizing for the fact that she couldn't have kids but I still wasn't going to apologize for protecting my son and now I'm sure there will be hell to pay tomorrow.

I was doing so well too! No contact at all for three months. Guess I'll have to get 'back on the wagon' tomorrow.

Not exactly "non stop", but I have had my share of wine this long weekend, with 'the kids' here for dinner Saturday, relaxing in the gazebo yesterday and today.....but I'm done, now. Back to the salt-mine of dieting....sigh....HEAR THAT, WALKS??

Ok. I confess that I just totally flat-out lied to my six year old. And yeah, I feel bad and I feel guilty and I'm wondering if I did the right thing.

Last night she lost a tooth. Not her first by any stretch of the imagination. Just the first one in quite a few months. She puts it under her pillow. The tooth fairy's helper does the ole switcheroo. All is well. She discovers the exchange but doesn't run to announce anything (which, admittedly I found odd). Tonight at bedtime she says, "Mommy. Tell me the truth. Are you the tooth fairy?"

Like. Point blank. Looks me right in the eye.

And I'm standing there stammering and its taking me forever to answer because on one hand, I'm thinking, "Don't lie to your children! It sets a terrible example! Tell her the truth because she asked you too!"

On the other hand I'm thinking, "But OMG! She's only 6 and you've already lied to her anyway about stuff like Santa! Destroy the tooth fairy bubble and next it's the Santa Claus and Easter Bunny bubble. For heaven's sakes let her be an innocent child for just a few more years!" (which is getting harder to do with a big know-it-all 10 year old for a sister who shares the same room as my youngest.)

So I gave her some lame old "Well, the tooth fairy has ambassadors that help her out because obviously she can't be everywhere" answer which didn't answer her question at all. Then I raced out of the room announcing that I was gonna go get daddy so we could tuck her in because frankly, I had to find a way to pick my jaw up off the floor and wipe the look of bewilderment, guilt, and stupidity off my face.

Ugh. I am a terrible mother.

    Where's the cheesecake? LOL.

You're not a terrible mother. I'll never forget the time my Mom and I were shopping in WM and she just told me flat out to pick out what I wanted for christmas because "you already know Santa doesn't exist". I just kind of stood there with my mouth open. I was probably 7 or 9 (not 8, was in foster care that time) so I guess it was time to give it up. I think that at 6 thats just too early to break the news. I like what you came up with on the spot.
