Tonight is a biggie...I am cooking a chicken (fresh from my dad`s farm), mashed potatoes and Arctic Garden frozen beans and carrots. I just bought them the other day and they are the best frozen vegetables I have ever ate! Oh and Jello for dessert as my little peanut had her adnoids taken out yesterday.

I know but it was just a "simple" family dinner this time....
We are going back in a couple f weeks when some family will be visiting and I promise to take pics then
Tonight will be MY butter chickenMIL made some earlier so that when my BIL and SIL came there would be enough plus I could take home the stuff I made
(so she ended up making/instructing with the making of 3 butter chicken's
). I will also make basmati rice cooked with some indian style spices

That's what we had last night!!
Tonight is some variation of last night but served up in a different form...mostly likely beef barley soup. Can't wait can't wait. Thank you Food Basics for the nice sale on those at the end of the summer. hehe. We still have another 5 of them sitting in the bottom of the freezer."Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Got six lovely chickens at the Safeway sale yesterday, so we're going simple and basic - roast chicken, smashed potatoes, gravy and corn.

I guess the differece between Mashed Potatoes and your `Smashed Potatoes` must be the amount of fun you have at the diner table.
