Hey, are those the Oliveiri pasta sheets? I lucked out after carrying those coupons for months and got two packages for free a couple of days ago. You can always freeze them is you don't want to use them right away.

I so crave a lasagna recipe from a friend's mother (since deceased). But a being a traditional Italian guy , he never got the recipe. It was pretty basic, but the best I ever had. sigh

I do have a pretty good recipe for lasagna using Yves veggie cuisine (especially good with the mexican or Italian one). No one ever knew it didn't contain meat.

But this got me googling and I found this...I quite enjoyed the commentary and comments

Oh and you can also use the the sheets to make ravioli with any kind of filling.. spinach, pumpkin, squash etc.

Oh darn, I should have bought more. Never thought of pesto. Maybe they will still have this week, fingers crossed.

I also just read that you can if you cut off the tops they will last for a few months in the fridge, or you can blanch them and freeze them.

Things to remember for next year!!

Had a Denver sandwich for lunch yesterday (with some leftover ham).

Also made Carmelized Onion & Bacon tart for dinner yesterday (from Oprah magazine cookbook). It is supposed to be a side dish, but since it had bacon in it, I thought it qualifed as a main, so had sauteed spinach with garlic with it.

(Tenderflake tart shell $0.75, Bacon $0.25 (crazy deal I got on bacon for $1.00/lb), Onions 50% off, Ricotta cheese $1.00, egg - coupons for everything but the onions!!).

Well, we are having BBQd chicken ($12 - $4 (30% off) - $5 Maple Leaf chicken coupon), free sausages steamed with red peppers, sliced potatoe steamed in a foil tray, and some salad.

Contemplating cutting up the strawberries from Costco ($3/2 lb container) and running out for some vanilla ice cream to make our own Sundaes, or may raspberries ($2.49/12 oz I think). Or we might just run down to DQ/Cold Stone - 33 degrees (and Canada Day!) allows for a treat

    Oooo, lobster!

Just my husband and me for supper, so plans changed.... neither of us were very hungry, so I made oven fries with sauteed xlean ground beef with mushroom sauce on top; some leftover salads.

Last night I kept it simple, homemade chicken fingers, oven roasted fries with garlic oil and spices and homemade coldslaw.

Today we are off camping for a week at the lake so I have planned a chili with garlic cheese toast for tonights dinner. It's fast and with unpacking I don't want to spend a lot of time cooking. I made the chili earlier this week, so I just heat it up and make the bread.
