I'll have to wait until my husband is home so that he can help me with the prep work. I have a bandage on my left hand from having a bone spur removed on Monday.

Barrio Fiesta to the rescue!! They are near the Physio Clinic...so a no brainer after my treatment today. Got 2 combos for us to all share. Glass looking noodles with veg/chicken, sweet and sour fish, plantain and beef stew, other combo was same noodles with a stew that has a reddish sauce, potatoes, red peppers. Also brought home some of their soup (it looks and tastes like won ton? ) and a small dish of something that has ground meat, and maybe a veg similar to celery, but the gal said it was a form of papaya ?? ( it was a very slight green colour ) It is delicious!

I was out all day watching my friends 9 month old triplet boys while she did her Xmas baking. So for dinner my husband made Teriyaki stir fry chicken over rice-recipe he found on the web which was very yummy. For dessert my friend sent home some butter tarts, some fudge and some Nutella no bake treats so our family was very happy.

oh my goodness, the soup was so delish! even my husband said 'mmm' a few times!
2 tbsp butter/margerine
1/2 cup diced carrots
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 stalk celery finely chopped
1 clove garlic minced
4 cups chicken broth
2 lg baking potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 tbsp flour
1/2 cup water
2/3 cup milk
2 cup chopped broccoli
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
melt butter, add onions, carrots and celery - saute until tender. add garlic and cook 1-2 mins. add chicken stock and diced potatoes, bring to a boil and cook until potatoes are tender. mix flour + water, add and simmer until soup is slightly thickened. add milk and broccoli and cook until broccoli is tender. stir in cheese and allow to melt. pepper + salt to taste (i found i didnt need to really add any salt but i did add a pinch of pepper)
When life hands you lemons, make a lemon pie... lemonade will be all like WTH?!?

I am already planning tomorrows dinner
Since I have 2 packs of ground turkey left I will be making turkey burgers with some buns that I plan on making in the morning and some kind of tater tot or fries to go with.
The Friday I will be at MIL's for another Indian cooking lesson and Saturday we have a family brunch planned at her house I plan on taking some pics of that event.
BTW, the eggnog cookies were to die for!!!! I am also going to be making another batch in the AM to bring to her place , if they last that long........

Yes, for sure it is great if you can plan out your meals Makes it sooo much easier. Last night I heated up the Cream of Tomato soup and at the last minute added a tin of heated up Italian Accent Tomatoes You have to be careful as this can curdle if it becomes to hot. ( .50 cents at No-Frills-Ends today for the Tomatoes ) and was it ever good. For tonight Porkchops with Mushroom sauce, potatoes and carrots.( Having lots of carrots this week as 1.00 at NF's and they are really sweet) Thanks everyone for posting your meal ideas. When I have trouble thinking up a Supper idea I come on here and always find great ones. Thankyou all soooo much. Happy Thursday
