Nope, have to head south in the winter. I can't take the cold winter in Alberta. We came to Florida this year. We usually go to Texas, and I want to head back there next week because I find Florida to humid and it doesn't help me as much as when I'm in Texas. I just have to convince dh to pack everything up, but I'm pretty sure he will. He loves me

Hmm, what's worse, a masseuse who talks too much, or a nail lady that talks too much AND it's in a different language?

Whenever I get a massage, I like it to be quiet so I can just relax. If I had to be constantly talking to the massuese, it sure wouldn't be very relaxing for me.

Back from my dental appt...it's not a dental problem (had 2 x-rays, one that go-'round thing) so it's definitely TMJ, so at least that's ruled out. I really don't want to go on something like Lyrica for the pain...there can be so many side-effects....But...hubby and I both have our physicals (yay) on Thursday, and we have lots to chat with that dear man about....Have a lovely evening, everyone!

I hate fibro, and lyrica!!! I tried that one about 2 years ago, did nothing. A friend of mine from Texas was on that for her fibro and she gained 72 pounds! She wasn't eating any different, it's a side effect
She was having so much trouble with her legs from all the extra weight. She went on a diet and ate almost fish, wild rice and raw veggies every day. She said she was starting to smell like a fish she ate so much!
I'm happy to say, she's off the Lyrica, when she and her Dr weighed the side effects and her health and pain, it wasn't worth it and he put her on stronger pain meds instead. She's also lost all the weight, plus and additional 8 pounds!
Make sure you understand all the side effects first Lynn, it may not be worth it. That stuff plays with your brain too. It is meant for people who have sever epilepsy, but some people with fibro finds it works for them too. Never worked for me.
I'm sorry that it wasn't just a filling, would have been such an easy answer compaired to what the choices are now. I hope the pain goes away soon hon. TMJ is so very painful.
for you my friend

Oh, sorry to hear that - I've had TMJD for years, mostly caused by bruxism. The strongest pain reliever I've taken for it is ibuprofen, although I have T3s. I also have Meniere's which gives tinnitis, ear pain, etc. - and I've wondered whether the two are related...
Hoping you feel better soon!

Laeticia - nice tree!
It's snowing to beat the band outside - just crazy. Vehicles are slipping and sliding - concerned about the men coming home from work, they are all the way across the city. The bridges are usually the worst for accidents.
(Saskatoon has a river running through the centre of it, just FYI.)
