Money problems

So, money has been 'tight' since last month, because I had to buy plane tickets back home (read my other thread for that one..).
So, what would happen, but my double stroller wheels break. Gah. All the used ones in my area cost the same as a new one, so I ordered one from Costco.ca...$150. We're going to be down to the PENNY this month. Might even have to use the credit card for groceries, or something..

Do you have a freecycle in your city? Often there are baby things posted there.
Same with posting a wanted on kijiji - doesn't hurt to try ask for a free anything!

im with the others. we've had MANY of those months. some how we always make it through. is there a way you can sell something you aren't using on kijiji to make a few $.. offer your babysitting services to moms in the neighborhood, IF its possible try not to touch your CC.. make it a last resort~!

Did you call the company that makes the stroller? When ours broke, I called the company and they sent me a new wheel and axel. They might charge for it now, but it'd be cheaper than a new stroller.

I was stressing more than I should have.
The past 2 paycheques, DH has been shorted on 8 hours of work (each one). Because they have a new manager, and since DH works night shift, they have to manually enter him in (since the computers restart at Midnight), but the new manager forgot to (he only works with him once a week). So yeah, they're fixing his cheque this week... $150+...

Wow, that is very frustrating. I've been waiting over two months for a raise that was supposed to happen on January1st. It should be implemented next week and I should get some back pay with it for the 6 pays that have passed without the raise.

I hope that the mistakes with your DH's pay stop and are resolved. Good luck with everything.

Well, he spoke to the head manager, and he supposedly fixed it right then..we'll know tomorrow morning (when it gets deposited). Because he did talk to them after the first time it happened, and they only kinda sorta fixed it (they put $20 more on the last one..which isn't even close to what they should have added =/).
