My mom didn't make them filled with meat - too many kids, not enough money? We had the peasant version, filled with kasha. I still make those once in a while, they are awesome!
Well, onions done, bacon done, leaves thawed.
Didn't realize it was too early to make the cabbage rolls, lol! No room in the fridge to store them before baking them, so I have to make them right before - so a few hours yet.
So I made a cake, and it's baking.

I guess this past wed was my last day at the call centre. I haven't officially told them yet but I will on monday morning. I did call the sick line the last 2 days. I start a new job tonight at a restaurant its only part time but only 1 1/2 blocks from home. I think tonight I work 6pm to about 1am. I also have other leads for part and full time that I am looking at that are also very close to home. Like 2-5 blocks for all of them. Will have to see how it goes.

Good luck with the new work Cabbie.
Cleaned three bathrooms, did 4 loads of laundry, put away all winter coats and did groceries...all with two ankle biters (and their bums stayed fresh and tummies fed the whole time) = productive morning for me.
Going to the park after naps. Enjoy your Sat. peeps!"There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

Kind sounds like my day -- except I pulled the Summer clothes out during the week.
I did 4 loads of laundry and packed the winter stuff away and put away anything that could be left out (ie, T's, etc). Searched for the kids Summer hats and sandals. So shocked that they fit! SWEET!
Cleaned the living room and kitchen (complete with vaccuming and mopping).
Plus we spend almost 1.5 hours outside this morning.
It's amazing how much you get done when DS wakes up at 5am. GAH!

I picked up a bunch of supplies at Michaels the other day but I think we're all a little tired for an art project so we'll do that tomorrow morning. Followed by a bath (of course) --- why do kids get paint EVERYWHERE?
I want to try this for Mothers Day for the grandmothers:

Wow Ladies...All this talking of sweets and bacon and ham makes me really really want some.
No wonder I like all holidays especially when there's food involve.
I think I will cook one of my hams for dinner tomorrow.
