As for postage. I have had packages as little as about $13 up to about $22. The most expensive was the Christmas advent package. I tend to look for items that are smaller and lighter to send. No one has complained....to me...hope mine wasn't one of these "crappy" gifts....

Thanks for your feedback about postage. Much appreciated.

I thought that the Baker's Train and the Chef's Train could run separately....if people wanted to ride both that would be great but if they love to cook but don't enjoy baking, or vice versa, then the themes would be more specific.

Food trains could be lots of fun. They could be general or themed. i.e. Special Indulgences, Kids' Snack & Fun Train, Movie-Night in Snack Train, etc.

A "Little Chef's" train could be a lot of fun for those who have kids. I don't have little ones anymore but my head is so full of ideas for this one that I would be tempted to 'adopt' someone if this one makes the list!

I would be all for a Baker's or Chef's package train. I'm not sure if I would be able to decide between the two---so my vote would be to combine them

Wowzers! I really missed a lot!

I have enjoyed all the pkg trains I've been on and hope they will continue.

My only problem was the post counts. 35 minimum was a lot for me. I felt like I was posting crap just to get my count up.

Also, it makes for A LOT to read when you come to it after being away for a day or 2.

Other than that, I love it. I hope I've sent good packages!

I agree...I think a combined one could be a great theme. And include items or a question/section on the wish list "for the little chef" (if it applies, you could add stuff, if not, skip it! ).

    Awesome! Who's conducting?

I love the idea of a baking/chef train. There are so many directions you could take this in. I would defiantly love to ride this one if it goes.

Just writing this suggestion here, while I think of it.... Maybe we could do an a little "arts and crafts" train? You could either put arts and crafts supplies for kids on your wishlists (which my kids go through A TON of!!), or I know a lot of ladies--myself included--are knitters, scrapbookers, sewers... can baking be considered an arts and crafts? Anyway, just thought I would mention it.

Also, I would be more than happy to conduct a Foodie package train. This way we could be inclusive of the Bakers, the Cooks and the people who just love to eat!! It could be just a small (say 14 people?) train, and then if it takes off, maybe another conductor could do a more specific "cooks only" or "cupcake only" or something like that train.

I'm also free to conduct a pkg train from mid July to the end of August. I won't be teaching or taking any AQ courses then.

Just curious....is there a problem with filling package trains? I have missed out on a few in the past because they filled up too quickly.

So far there has not really been an issue filling the trains that are running

A while back, we did try limit trains and they did not fill, but there are more people calling for them again. There are also some conductors who don't want to deal with a train with 30+ people, it is a lot of work and would like to conduct smaller (more manageable) trains

Oh no, I just suggested that because I thought people wanted a more intimate group of people to ride with and thought we would try that ..... but I'm open to whatever.

    2. The lack of price guidelines has concerned me. What if I under-spend and my buddy is disappointed? What if I over-spend and look like I am 'competing' for the most over the top gift sent? I can stack, so it would likely be easy for me to send a larger gift...but for those who can't, I can fully understand why they might feel packages from stackers could be inappropriately large and make they feel like they can't compete. (I know....this is not supposed to be a competition, but I do understand how some people can feel this way.)

    4. The cost of postage or Purolator concerns me. I don't want to spend $20 to ship a $25 package. Knowing how much people generally spend (approximately) on postage would be helpful.
These are my 2 biggest concerns aswell I stated that before, lol

But I think the foodie train for people who love to eat, and the cooks, or chefs train would be super fun, same with a shoe box train! I would be game for those.. just the shoe box one got me thinking of postage and t might be a lot because of the size of the box. And shoes come in MANY different sizes. How would we know what size of box everyone has? Maybe we could do this with a general shoe box size? Or even as Fallen shared with the pm, a $20 limit shoebox would be interesting.
