Since it is friday and want to get that done I cleaned the fridge and founded a loonie on my kitchen floor, even if it is mine it is always nice to find money lol.
The joke I made in my head was pretty funny lol: Oh I just prefer to clean the fridge than going out and spend money ....sigh...but more time tomorrow for grocery and baking.

Good morning and happy labour day weekend!
I survived the one direction movie thank goodness! Lots of excited pre teens. Party for the 11 yr old went off without a hitch. We are pretty set for back to school just need shoes for the younger two and a lunch bag for the oldest. Next on the agenda is our anniversary-sept 9. I think we are going pretty low key with all of the extra expenses going on right now. Have a nice meal together at home sans kids. Maybe go for golf or a movie.

Angela273, thanks for confirming the amount of baking powder in the brownie recipe. I bake quite a bit so guessed that might the the amount, considering that the recipe also called for 4 eggs. The brownies turned out great. Thanks, again, for sharing your recipe.

I went out last night to do some shopping with mom since I have a family dinner with Dad's family for my oma's bday tonight (shhhh won't admit it to mom but knew she would not be up and out like needed to do the shopping today and get back in time for me to get to dinner) my deal of the day was an unplanned purchase. We went into shoppers to get some international delights which was a let down as they only one bottle of the kind mom likes (so I will dropped into another shopper's tonight after dinner since my coupons expire today) but well mom thought about buying a kind "that is ok" I saw some 250g of Saputo Cheese on sale for $2.99 with a $0.50 and $1.00 manager sticker on them because they expire today. So for $1.49 each we got 6 bricks of mozzarella we will put in the freezer.

Went to Shoppers today too. Got milk, PB, organic honey and noticed the battery charger was on for $8.99. I thought awesome, I have a $4 coupon too. Get to the cash and it scans at $52.99
. Turns out they were on the wrong peg. It wasn't just a minor mistake or a customer who had put them back in the wrong spot. They had tagged the wrong pegs. As there were 2 rows of them tagged at $8.99. Manager (who wouldn't bother to come out of her office to talk to me) said she'd give it to me for $10 off. I said, no, I want it for the shelf tag. Cash manager comes and then points to the SCOP sign and says $10 off. I almost laughed...I read it to her and said it clearly says "$10 off the LOWEST ticket price" which in this case was $8.99. I wasn't even argueing SCOP. I just wanted it for $8.99. Argued for awhile, and I think the cash manager got my point, but the store manager wouldn't budge. I was completely polite and said "no problem, I'll call head office" So true to my word, I called head office and waited on hold forever...and long story short, now I have my FREE battery charger. Head office told them they had to give it to me for FREE under SCOP! Sent hubby to go pick it up (and get the mail being held there). Cash manager says to him "oh the one who called head office on us"
It's a good thing he went. I was completely polite when I was there (and I'm not even stretching the truth here. I had my kids with me, I was nothing but a perfect little lady), but had she said that to me I would have freaked out on her. I must have told them like 3 times I was going to call head office! They also made him pay the tax on the full price. I would have only paid it on the $8.99 but whatever, got me a FREE battery charger. I was willing to pay the $8.99, but too bad for them now, I got it for free.
Was supposed to make mini pizzas for lunch, but before I headed off on my SDM adventure, I put it in the bread maker and forgot to push start.
(that's typical me!) So thankfullly I had a bunch of frozen burritos in the freezer. They ate the burritos and I made the pizzas later and now they're in the freezer. Off to go make some tortillas now. We're having Quesidillas for dinner tonight (using leftover chicken).
I can't believe tomorrow is September....where did 2013 go?

Wish I could have taken advantage of a few deals! LO kept me in for most of the day. RCSS was super hard to coupon at today. They rang in my four Aveeno coupons but decided that my Colgate coupons were one per transaction (it was "one per purchase" and I was buying four in total for Mum). The supervisor basically said she would turn a blind eye to separate transactions.
Oh boy.
In the evening, I popped out to Giant Tiger to see if they had the razor blades for DH. Nope. Which meant I couldn't use the save $4 WUB Head & Shoulders and Gillete P&G coupon. It also meant that I couldn't use the free shave gel WUB Gillette blades. Sigh.
I did discover that Tide was $4 at WM though and was able to use my $2 off coupon. Yay, $2 Tide!
