Sitting outside of work having a coffee. I see some creepy guy crossing the parking lot and I'm thinking to myself "oh please PLEASE do not come over here"

As he approaches, in still thinking "NO please NO" and there it is...

"Hey pretty girl how you doing"
Me "FINE"
"What are your plans for tonight"
Me "working obviously..."
"Oh ty, was thinking maybe you want to come over"
Me "HA"

He smiles, says too bad and leaves. Does that pick up routine actually work?!? WTH!!!!!

I read a Men's Rules Dating Site which basically told men to try that kind of routine with every available looking woman because there was a 1 in 10 chance that a "girl" would be too "scared" to turn them down.....

My turn for a rant lol.......or two !

Went to my credit union today to cash two cheques which had uneven cents ( $.08 ) so the CS rep said "I hope we have pennies?" wth? I asked why they are even still using pennies. Anyway, she said she could round it to $.05 or $.10 ???? ....so I said $.08 should be rounded to $.10. So she comes back with my cash and the transaction receipt to sign and I notice she's debited my account for the $.02 !?!?!? I told her that wasn't rounding if she's debited my account.....it's not about the $.02, it's this CS rep was clueless.

and ...... my Mom bought 2 halibut cakes from a store I won't mention for $10 and they were AWFUL....like soggy potatoe cakes.

So I have shot off 2 emails tonight....along with watching my Canucks ; )

Dh and I went out for supper tonight. We returned home to find a message on our answering machine. A principal had called to see if I was available to be a substitute teacher for her. I was unable to get a hold of her. When she returned my call she informed me that she had panicked and kept calling down the sub list and had already filled the spot. It sucks because I have an expensive cell phone for a reason. My cell phone number is on the sub list and on my business cards. Just really sucks when a person doe NOT call my cell. Cost me a day 1.1 day of work (expensive).

Plan on calling the school divisions tomorrow and having them remove my home phone number for the sub lists in hopes of avoiding this in the future.

The doc did this to my mom today. She's been waiting for an appointment for months and was hoping to get bumped up due to someone's cancellation. She was in the yard and the phone rang. By the time she ran inside to pick up the phone and call the doctor back (probably 30 seconds) they had given the appointment away.

Last sat I did my drunk 'matchmaking' rant, now I have a new one. MEN who ask me to go out to the bar with them, specifically so I can meet women and introduce them.
Why do these guys have such a hard time talking to women? They are human, and if they are not interested, body language and english language usually tell you. I'm not a matchmaker!

Oh and worse, they tend to expect me not to get drunk so I can ride them home later.

Ugh I hear you!! I had a friend who used to drag me out all the time to be a "blocker" . She was the "petite cute one" and I was the "feel sorry for" friend. So if a guy who she didn't like hit on her I would be the spoiler and she would tell them she couldn't leave me alone blah blah blah.
