Chopped up potatoes and onions with herbs and spices in the bottom of a roaster, put pork sausages on top and baked; served with homemade pickles and onions.

Pulled a container of homemade pasta sauce from the freezer for dinner. We are all over the place tonight so figured it was the easiest thing to make for dinner and then people can heat up once home for dinner. And my little one has a big dance tonight and will be hungry after so it will be quick for him to heat up and eat before bed

We're having Lebanese food for dinner tonight, my favorite type of middle eastern food
I cut up 4 chicken breasts last night and marinated it in a homemade shish taouk sauce (chicken kebabs), just made my own Toum (Garlic Mayonnaise) It took 45 min but its soo sooo soooo worth it, i could slather anything on it and it would be delicious im so excited. I also cut up a bunch of potatoes and marinated in paprika, garlic powder, dried parsley, pinch of thyme, rosemary, salt, black pepper, oregano, and melted butter. I will roast the potatoes, and bake the chicken in the oven, and put it on broil at the end so hopefully it gets a nice char

Smoked picnic shoulder on sale at Superstore for .99 a pound, so it's ham! I soaked it in water overnight, and boiled it just a bit today. I find ham REALLY salty, and if I boil it for long it comes out kind of grey, so this is my compromise. Right now it's in the oven with a glaze of maple syrup, mustard and pepper.
Serving with veggies and 'crash' potatoes (spuds boiled most of the way, then flatten them a bit with a cup or something, spray with olive oil, salt and pepper, bake. Add cheese if it floats your boat).

No 'good' meatless choices tonight, so went with Mr. Noodles soup and sardines with onions - on toast for me, husband eats with plain bread. (I get the urge like twice a year...)

We all had a great feed last night! Started out with the seafood chowder and homemade dinner rolls, it was delicious. I brought some frozen shisksbobs from last weekend and cooked those, still yummy..and I had scallops so we sauteed those in a fry pan with garlic and onion, and someone made crab balls and deep fried in a beer batter, out of this world good..and for a late night snack we cooked a rack of ribs that I had marinading all day..no one is very hungry today..lol..moose stew is on the menu for supper today but I don't like moose so will have to come up with something creative
for dessert yesterday I ended up bringing cookie monster cupcakes, it went over well with all of the adults...there's a kid in all of us..
