It was so stormy, complete white-out, too dangerous for snowmobiling in the country, etc we had to stay put..so we ended up with all the yummy food at my cabin and we ended up having for dinner Stove Top & Lipton-cup-a soup (luckily that was in the cupboards) LOL. Too funny!!!
Aww, I'm sure you were thinking of all the yummy foods only a short distance away, while surviving on packaged stuffing and soup mix! LOL

Forgot to take out meat to thaw for supper, so we're having freezer food - M&M Meat Shop jumbo crispy wings, Safeway potato patties, and some sorta veggie...

Making chop suey tonight; son is coming over, so I really try to plan something he won't make himself or get at a restaurant.

Using pork loin strips, onions, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, carrots, cabbage, garlic, broccoli - and will have to peek what frozen veg I have to add - think I might have a Eur. Best bag with maybe baby corn, etc. in it. Sad that I have no mushrooms or cauliflower (though I have the latter frozen, so might add those).

Will make rice to go with - with broth, and maybe some veg, too - or just onion, depends.

Making more than a double batch of everything so I have some to give to Milan, and some for leftovers here.

I bought a big porkloin at Costco yesterday, cut some into porkchops forthe freezer, and cut a roast for tonight. It was VERY good, DS gobbled it up. I'm full now, ate too much! Was out of garlic, but gave it a rub of s&p, dry mustard, onion flakes and maple syrup.

So sore today, pulled my back vacuuming the stairs (like really).
So as much as I didn't want to I ordered pizza.

Half Arugula, spinach, banana peppers, sundries tomatoes an feta for me.
Half spinach, broccoli and feta for DS.

    Damn you pizza.....

Nat, chop suey is my fave too. Just don't know how to make it taste like the restaurant ones.

Yesterday was an annual supper at one of my Aunt's cabin, and as this is my first winter home in about 10++ years so I've never made it..lol ..the weather was a little stormy but everyone showed up and it was another great time. My aunt cooked a turkey and there was at least 10 different side dishes (salads, etc) so everything was already done and everyone just needed to eat!!

I have less than a week and I'm officially leaving the East coast!! Ferry crossing is booked; I really won't know what to do with myself when I get back to the city! LOL
