So I was thinking about couponing in 2015 and thought of something I would like to do a little more regularly.
I am a pretty brand loyal customer and don't normally deviate from my products, as I tend to stick with what I know and like. I am often making "care packages" for my friends and family, which consist of items from my own stockpile at home. However, I decided to make one for someone in need that I know and actually took advantage of some of the sales (along with coupons) for items that I don't normally buy.
I will also regularly give items to the food bank throughout the year, but these are also items from my own stockpile.
So, for my resolution, I want to take advantage of more of the sales I would normally skip, because they are not on products that I use. I would then in turn start another (smaller) stockpile for the food bank/care packages that I do throughout the year.
For example, I only use Tide, but last week I took advantage of a great sale that No Frills had on Arm & Hammer Laundry Detergent (I paid $1.47 per 50 use bottle). I also recently did this with Royale Velour Toilet Paper and Secret Deodorant.
I think if there are other people out there like me who can afford a few extra dollars on their bills here and there, that it may be a way for all of us to increase our donations. I know the idea isn't revolutionary and I'm sure many of you already do this.
Anywho, just thought I would share and see what other couponing resolutions people were making.

Great idea for a thread!
My new years resolution is to recruit some new couponers. Mainly my mom my sister and my neighbour. Seeing people over spend when they don't need to drives me crazy especially when they are on a tight budget. I regularly sharewith my neighbor but I would love to take her under my wing and get her saving some big bucks on her own.JOIN NOW WIN BIG in the Survivor Pool starting in the Spring

-yes I am with anna -to try and do better with my p.c plus offers (try to make it to no frills -instead of fortinos )
-since I am okay with my shoppers
-I don't need to worry about couponing and price matching cause I always do -but my sister-in-law has started to use coupons so that is nice to see
-try to keep building my stockpile from checkout51 also
and I donated a few times thruout the year

I feel now that price matching is only an 'on-paper' policy as I always have hard time PM so I will directly start going to diff. stores instead of pm at single store.
I am also going to try quitting couponing for one month to make my brothers starve [evil laugh] because they keep telling me that I coupon too much [what on earth?]
My pc offers are always lame so I am done with it but for this upcoming I am going to concentrate more on getting SDM points and not redeeming for like $10, which I usually did a lot this year!

I made Mini-Resolutions....one for each month. I will soon make my list for 2015.
It's important that your resolution(s) is/are SMART:

I will take advantage of the "free" with coupon more - I started at the end of last year and now have sunlight, pasta, pantene, crest and toothbrushes to last a couple of years..lol..
I want to do this with a broader range of items (men's body washes etc) soaps, and whatever else I can

My goal for 2015 is to keep track of the money I saved with coupons and also to teach my friend who is just moving back to my city and has expressed interest.

My resolution for 2015 is not to procrastinate too much and miss on the coupons and the deals. I ended up throwing majority of coupons for December because I was too busy to shop and just would go to store and buy only couple of items I needed never really going through my coupon pile. When I finally went over my coupons last weekend I realized I had coupons for several items I purchased but didn't use. My excuse is I was busy at work: working late and a lot of the weekends and then busy with holiday stuff with friends etc and ended up paying full price for a lot of the items. Not a good thing when I ended up throwing out some FPC's but I will try to be more organized and use the coupons as soon as they come (atleast FPCs).

I'm doing a few things differently.. I started in Dec.. instead of packing bins and boxes to give as gifts.. I gave them free shopping sprees in my stockpile.. so much easier to do & they got exactly what they thought they could use in a year.. I also gave 2 of my sisters , a two year supply of pads and tampons instead of holding on to them for next year.
This month I'm clearing out all the items that I know I won't use. A year is plenty of time to build them a stockpile for next Christmas.
Building rapport with a new couponing friend who has time to shop but not the access to coupons that I do. I can find the deals and coupons, she can do the shopping when I can't get out.. we can share the products per our needs/wants.
Organising my coupons so I have easy access but the house doesn't scream an extreme couponer lives here. When someone comes to the door, one of my yorkies always "takes them a gift" he'll snag whatever he can find.. its almost always a coupon.. lol really funny but enough already. :O)
Stop registering for samples, I rarely use them , they're just clutter in my house.
Drop products in store bins when someone is going out instead of letting it sit until its a big job.Be sure to click like and post a brag if you get the deal.. It makes my day!!! Flattery may just get you more deals
Be sure to double check your flyer, points and cashback offers~ YMMV

Trading is a great way to get coupons Amira... Sign up for all the free sites online to get coupons that you won't use but you can trade them with people who will use them. Many people will trade P&G inserts for 1 stamp each plus postage.. or for a gift card. I used to trade 6 P&G for 10 stamps.. that was about $700 in coupons for about $10 .. even if you used $25 in coupons , you saved $15 .. but these inserts often get you lots of free items.. some get overage, but its the exception I think, due to the restriction on the coupons. If you can get access to the loblaw line of stores t hey often have huge coupon boards with a generous mix of store specific and manufacturer coupons. Ask family & friends to watch for inserts for you. SDM & Rexall usually get coupons once a month, the other grocery stores get some as well. You can also check packaging on the items you buy, especially cereal products. Check @ the dentist, doctor's office, magazines. The last time I bought new clothes I asked the cashier if there were any coupons or discounts kicking around. She said no..then she said , hold on.. I ended up getting $50 off, just for asking..
Be sure to click like and post a brag if you get the deal.. It makes my day!!! Flattery may just get you more deals
