Sorry about your back Zonny but if it could "last" a couple more weeks you could maybe have a roster of meals that your son and husband could take charge of!!

My father had a heart attack Christmas morning so its been hectic, been at the hospital all Christmas .I' ve been living on Tim's, Christmas chocolates and vending machine snacks for days...my dad is doing "okay" but still having complications and in ICU..so really hoping he will become more stable over the couple of days.

Zonny, hoping your back is better.
KelJo, wishing all the best for your dad as he recovers.
Chicken soup on the boil right now - heavenly smell! Will be very welcome on this very, very frigid day!

I fancied burgers and told my DH I would be happy to cook them inside-especially since it was -19! However he decided to go out on the deck and BBQ in that-they did taste good but that is definitely outside my BBQ comfort zone!

Hmm. I'm thinking bbq tonight too maybe. Will maybe dig the steaks from the freezer. Or something else I find. With baked potatoe and fixings. Ceaser salad since we have romaine left

Clear out the leftovers night - there's chicken soup, baked spinach dip in pumpernickel, mini quiche, cheese log, along with boiled chicken meat, ham, sausage - so whatever we each feel like out of that.
I have had lactose intolerance since my early 20s, and I've been able to eat dairy with having Lactaid pills. A few years ago I had to up the dose.
Thinking I might have to again, since the last few times I've had dairy the pills haven't worked well enough - so I've been tinkering with amounts.
Could I just stop eating dairy? Well, yeah, but I don't want to!

We are having something similar to Natalka- a clear out the fridge smorg-commonly referred to as a grab your own or make your own at our house. Happens occasionally when the fridge is full of leftovers or the parents are feeling lazy or like they have been eating non stop for a few days! Although I will give myself some credit for making some thrifty muffins. I used some sour milk and leftover cranberry sauce in the oatmeal muffins I made this morning rather than throw them out and waste them.
