Saundyl-great financial acheivements! Mrs S-maybe you and your family can bake some simple bread this aft or just some muffins or cheese scones. I am with you-I would never pay corner store prices for bread either. Yesterday I was lacking inspriation for lunch and whipped up a pot of homemad mac and cheese-was ready in about 30 minutes and good comfort food. My nearby SDM is open today and usually has some bread on sale-not sure about your neck of the woods.

I better batten down the hatches! The 4 year old twins and the 2 month old twins are arriving for the afternoon shortly-the big boys had been asking to come and visit us so the Mum called yesterday to see if they could stop by and visit and I said today would be great. Within 5 minutes she called me back and said my husband is asking if the babies can come too!! Nice for them to have some much needed ( I am sure) quiet couple time! I told DD if she helps she can get half the babysitting money so lets see how tired she is after her sleepover party and an intro to waitressing at a church supper last night. Currently she is in the shower-no doubt trying to fully wake up!

Happy New Year everyone!
All visitors gone although I wish my friend and her doggie would have stayed longer. Since we're not travelling much, I rarely see her. We have a tradition that we have a silver ball that opens, each year one of us has it and puts in a special personal little gift for the other. Then that person keeps it and gives it back the following Christmas. We've been doing this for a very long time now. She was my friend who conquered gall-bladder cancer this year. I gave her a bracelet which had a little message- "Friends share the journey." She loved it.
I am inspired by all of you to try to keep track of my "coupon savings" and "other money" this year.
Wishing you sincerely, all the BEST for this coming year.

Happy New Year! I should get going to. Prime rib dinner at my moms tonight which is great because I'm feeling lazy! Taking ds and the dog for a run at a local field. It's cold and windy out so not sure how long we will last outside but will try!

J and C-the 4 boys are all pretty good. Little ones are napping and the big ones are playing with DD. And DH is here too for an extra set of hands! He jokingly refers to them as the grandkids!

Dh is resting his back and the plans is to put the shelves in place once he wakes up.
Dinner tonight is chicken drumsticks on the bbq with rice.
Meal plan for the next little while
Friday - moose steak on the bbq with I don't know what there called I bought them on sale as a treat, it's scallops in a shell with mashed potatoes (coquille st. jaques) or something like that
Need to work on my meal plan for the next 2 weeks as I am doing groceries on Saturday for 2 weeks.
I have an SDM question as I don't shop there but I can easily spend $50.00 this Saturday with al their sales on milk, bread, pop, etc.....SO IF I SPEND $51.00 before taxes do I get 20x the points, just double checking as I am trying to gear up my SDM points for Christmas 2015
as I did a middle redemption with dh`s card, he had more points than me....go figure

We came home around 10pm last night as one LO wouldn't settle at our friends. Shortly after getting home, everything I ate for dinner came back up including "morning" sickness meds. As a result, I slept from 9am-2pm today, as I still felt off and could! I did take another round of medication to help and it makes you feel drowsy. Hoping to feel more like myself tomorrow. Feeling a little guilty that it has been nothing, TV kind of day. I always like to start the New Year productively. Perhaps this is a good sign for me, some R&R to start the year may allow more to continue throughout. I am definitely a person that needs a healthy dose of slow down or procrastination every once and a while.

J & C: to answer your question in Decembers thread. I have the PC World Mastercard & it is our primary card so we get lots of points just from the card. I also started Price matching this year which washuge savings for us and I PM at RCSS to match my offers and that has really built up the points.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
