Yay! Happy to help, Padyo! I did toss a good handful of golden raisins into that cake since that how my Mom made it...everyone just gushed over it yesterday! One of the moistest carrot cakes I've ever made....happy day, Hon!

I picked up raisins at Bulk Barn but in the end I didn't add them. I was thinking of making hot cross buns or cinnamon raisin bread instead.

Thanks, Lynn! How does one make a FEAST from a BRAT diet? Weelllllll...... I broiled Salmon Steaks and coated them with mix of Probiotic Yogurt/Lemon Juice/Dill coating. Then BLAH rice and peas and carrots from a can. The Salmon turned out VERY Nicely! (And you KNOW I'm not a cook!) I was going to make a Waldorf Salad with a Yogurt instead of mayo but I read that walnuts might not be such a great thing. So it'll be yogurt and bananas for dessert.

We're watching the Golf Playoff and then it'll be my OUTLANDER fix later tonight!!!! I read all the books. (whew! - OH MY! Steamy stuff!) It's funny because the guy who plays the lead is VERY SEXY on the TV and is actually NOT very attractive in real life. (I'll have to find my fan! I think I feel a Hot Flash coming on!)

Oh!!! Last year I made "Clone of a Cinnabon" recipe from allrecipes.com, and OMG!!!!
I used my bread machine to mix up the dough and took it from there...rolled it out, put on the stuff, rolled it up, cut it, and placed it into the baking pans to rise (1-2 minutes on 200 degrees, then turn off), then baked them and everyone was...let's just say...it evidently was the next best thing!!!

Hello everyone! Just came back from our 3 day vacation. It was awesome in tofino, bc. So peaceful, and rainy/sunny/cloudy combinations. Lol. But we had lots of fun there.
It's only 3 hrs drive from our home and we have been to tofino 2,3 times before but those were only day trips. This time we wanted to stay there and just relax, and we did relax a lot!


And i had a little WTH moment when i saw our sdm flyer today..... i was very happy to read all these brags about oasis/wonder bread deal with coupon at sdm. I was dreaming about using my only 2,3 coupons i have, but it turns out that oasis is on sale in west for 2/$6.00 or $3.99 each.

I think i won't be using my coupons this week.


Oh, and happy easter to everyone. And thanks to everyone who posted happy easter msgs on my visitor wall. I read all msgs/reps but was busy "vacationing" so i couldn't reply everyone.

well kidlet is sleeping... grandpa ate all her PB cup eggs... though no huge issue since she can't eat them at the moment (was sick today) and i can replace them when we get home tomorrow fingers crossed she wakes up feeling better and not so pukey

One of the few people in the office today...looks like a lot of people decided to take an extra day off for the weekend.

Went up to the cottage this past weekend...wouldn't you believe it, a wonderful 4' of snow everywhere!

I've made this recipe once... it was the best cinnamon bun I've had. I didn't even make the cream cheese frosting. I took one bite and said forget it.


I've got to go into work today. I know in previous years we've had this day off. I don't imagine we'll be all that busy either.

Good morning!!!!
We had a lovely Easter dinner with family on Saturday, then dinner here with my late glrlfriend's hubby yesterday...he asked to take Jenny for the few days we'll be gone, so we chatted about her care and feeding; pretty simple really...as long as he has a lap she can nap on, she's fine. We'll prepare her dinners ahead of time so all he has to do is nuke each one, so no worries there. I know she'll be loved and so well cared for with him...they adore each other!

Soooo...I'll take her in for her pedicure today, then bathe her before we leave...wash "our" blankie so she'll have it there along with tons of other 'stuff'...new toy, of course..

I hope all's well in everyone's world...DD is off with their little guy today (banks are closed), so hopefully they'll drop in sometime later for a visit...

Tofino is beautiful! I visited approximately 9 years ago. Loved all the hiking trails in the area. Beautiful scenery. On the way I stopped at Cathedral Grove. It was just after Halloween and all sort of carved pumpkins were left near where you park. Stopped in Port Alberni for snacks, Chesterman and Long beach. Few surfers. I hope to go back one day soon.

At the gym today, I was waiting for a particular weight machine. This guy sat at this machine on his smartphone texting etc for at least 10 minutes. I used other weights and left that one for last. He's still sitting. I asked politely if he was finished. His reply "In a few minutes" Continues playing with his phone. I said 'I have a bus to catch and need to finish my workout! Please sit somewhere else!!" Finally moved.

Geez! I don't care if you want to play with your phone, but don't hog up a machine if you actually finished using it or not using it period. There are two benches to sit at.

Very late start on here because my puter wouldn't work this morning - was up at 2 a.m., and all there was to do ws watch Casino Royale - so Daniel Craig kept me company!
