I'm putzing around on here, looking for hotels in NYC...might coax Hubby into taking me sometime this fall, but not as late in the year as the last time we went...we'll see... He said he'd want to stay right downtown in Manhattan next time we go, so that's where I'm looking......

Hello Lynn!
I know its been so long, but I was just so busy planning the wedding last year that I had really no time for anything and sadly SC fell behind then we had the honeymoon, and did a few other trips and just life took over haha work is now becoming boring again so I have time during work for SC.

Regarding hotels in NYC - we stayed at Elements by Westin in Times Square, its literally 2 blocks from times square. Excellent hotel, with breakfast include! Which is unheard of in NYC haha The rooms have kitchens so it was so nice to have a big fridge, microwave, stove as well just in case we needed it. Very modern and sleek as well.

Yes, the photos I use are scanned ones. Before using them as an avatar, I make them much smaller.

^ Oh, we sure could use the rain, we have had way less than the norm - some people are already using the dreaded 'drought' word.... would be horrid for farmers here.

must have been right over our place, since it lit up the room completely and shook some of the photos on the walls!

Me too. Every time it would hit the dog got closer & closer to me, until he was literally laying across my chest. Finally, he couldn't take it anymore, jumped down & crawled under the bed. I finally gave up trying to sleep around 4 a.m. It's going to be a VERY long day !!

Nat, really sorry about the farmers. Wish we could send some of ours out there.

Good morning! Wow, you people really got hit overnight! CTV news just posted a pic someone took of a lightning striking the CN tower. I think we got a dribble here, but it's supposed to be clearing. Nat, I hope you get relief from the dryness out there; those crops really need it and soon.

Hicks, isn't it too sad when we can't comfort our little fur-kids? The pic you posted, lol...certainly gives the impression of the nervous wreck you must be after the start of your very early day! Too cute!
Not much happening today, I have to babysit the kids' house for delivery of their new bedroom furniture this morning....yep, that's about it!
