Watching the new flyers, but I haven't been excited by anything yet. I'm beginning to think about LO's birthday celebration. Originally, I wasn't going to do anything big, and then a friend of ours called for a reunion of sorts. Now we may have 10 people over next weekend and I'm in a quandry about the house. Time to shift laundry into high gear!
@Angela273 : Thank you for the reminders. I got a clip-on and requested some J&J coupons to replace the ones I've just recycled.
@Angela273 and @Granger : Glad you both are taking off some time for yourselves and DH.
DH and I have never left the house alone after LO was born, but that's probably due to his work schedule too. It's hard to leave the house when your SO comes home at 7:30 PM and needs to be in bed by 10:30 PM.
@saundyl : Keep the good news coming! Thank you for the updates. I really look forward to your posts that things are getting better.
I hope your tablet makes it back to you in working condition!
@avoncallingu : Congratulations on the new granddaughter! Little girls are so wonderful.
Funny how seeing the Rolling Stones in Detroit is not a highlight on your calendar compared to the other events. You're living the high life!

I feel like I've been so busy, yet accomplished nothing of what would make a significant impact on what I need to do.
Financially, we're paid up until the end of March and I'm just waiting for more of a cushion to pay off April. This month, we're paying into a new daycare, with new registration fees and new supplies needed. Plus, there were the additional costs of a new phone and DH's cell phone bill from the lightning strike.
I called and put her on the wait list for her old daycare. Perhaps I should have done that in January as she'll probably stay at this one until she's at least 3. She's picking up some interesting habits from the other children here that I'm just getting used to.
Oh I miss my LO's personality when we were home together! It's inevitable though. She'll have to go off to school someday!
This weekend, I did something that's been on my list for well over a year. I finally cut out some liners for the kitchen drawers. I measured, measured, and measured again, and cut once. Somehow, they fit perfectly! Usually, this never works out for me and things come out crooked or I end up miscutting. Yay!
Another milestone achieved: I posted my first kijiji ad. DH kept saying it was easy as he does it for work all the time. Maybe I'll repost his old stereo ad sometime. Next, I need to track down the manual and registration card for LO's new car seat that we never used to sell. Or maybe her newborn cloth diapers that are in really good condition. The possibilities are endless! (Okay, I know I will be less excited after my first bad experience with kijiji...but until then!)

oh @avoncallingu THAT was funny how Mick and the boys did not get first mention in your post!! Good eye @sweet sparrow for noticing that. Congratulations once again on becoming a Grandmother!!
Looking back it seems like my last big haul from the WM reduced rack was on June 30th. ( missed out on getting anything last 2 trips there ) now that the word is out when the cart gets wheeled onto the floor it is stripped clean within a few minutes! lol.
Plus there is no way to know when they are putting it out. Both times that I was successful it was later in the a.m. between 10-11 a.m. So hitting the store when they open at 7 is pointless.
Really wanting to hold off on grocery shopping period because we still have many options for making meals. Plenty of meat, veggies, noodles, rice, but DH is sort of pouting and obsessing over the fact that we have no spuds. I'd like to go JUST to get them, but we all know how that ends up when you go to the store for one item!! ha ha

Last week, I found out all too well what happens when you go out for just "one" item. Cherries are in season and relatively on sale. Instead of buying the smaller ones at No Frills for $2/lb, I bought the jumbo size for $2.99/lb for the first time this year. I think the cost ended up being around $9.
I had to return to RCSS for a refund for a product that I bought for the rebate which was all out by the time I scanned in my receipt. On the way, I saw a large box of blueberries selling for $2. I never see them at that price for so many so I bought one. Another extra $2 spent, but thank goodness I only bought one.

I know! THIS is what I keep telling DH that once my feet cross the entrance my eyes start darting all over like a kid in a candy store! Everything " looks " like a deal and often there are many deals no arguing that. But when I leave knowing I've spent more than I had originally planned for ......... then I feel like the fool.

Is anyone familiar with the story of The Paper Bag Princess? I've been reading it to LO and she has been memorizing lines throughout. Last weekend, I told her it was time to wash her hands and get ready for dinner. She told me: "I have already eaten a whole castle today. I am a very busy dragon. Come back tomorrow."

Since she's been at the new daycare where they don't read to her, her interest in books is not as strong as it used to be.
She's more interested in jumping on couches and making her rubber duck roar like a tyrannosaurus. Maybe it's a natural thing and just little changes in her personality.

I guess as long as you use the product and it won't go off in your timeframe, it's a good deal. I haven't seen blueberries at that price in a long time and they weren't moldy so that was a nice surprise! The cherries I never see less than $2.99 for the jumbo size, and that purchase was rare too.
Listen to me rationalizing my off list items to myself.
Maybe the key is that if you don't feel guilty, it was worth it.
Yum, cherries!!

Good morning, everyone.

Today is a much better day than yesterday (seems I won the battle against tomato
). Which is a good thing, since I have dinner plans with friends tonight.
Off to do some closet organizing for a little while - started it yesterday but had to stop when my assistant got annoyed with me for disturbing his sleep after he commandeered my clothes.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Girls- Don't beat yourself up over purchasing fruit at a good deal!
We have to eat. Defend the bag of chips and pop, not the fruit lol

Good morning
Sunny day here today, guess the rain is gone till another day. Kids are at home. I am too busy this week to take anytime off but aiming for next Wed/Thurs and Friday off I think. Will see what the weather is like. DS may want to join his friend at camp for the day so I may do that instead and save the vacation days for another week. I didn't do anything last night. But I did pull a burger pattie from the freezer that was made and put in there Sept 2014. I'm still alive lol And a bag of chicken perogies for DS (served with leftover rice and taco meat from the fridge) for his dinner. Sorted the freezer on the bottom of the fridge and noted I have drumsticks and pork chops to be used up so I'm thinking that will be pulled tonight to bbq tomorrow night since we don't have any sports! Will use up the romaine to make a salad and have a bag of green beans in the freezer to use up
Tonight we are out of town for sports so will make DS something quick and worry about myself later.
