I didn't really want to whine, but it hurts. It was very sunny and I was rushing to pick up LO from daycare. I tripped on the concrete and fell on my hands and knees. My knees are scraped and bruised and my hands were scratched and cut. I must have been quite the sight when I arrived, 5 minutes before closing and just before the late fees are charged because I was hobbling at a snail's pace. At that point, I was so frazzled that LO had been in daycare for almost 11 hours and desperate to get to her.

When I finally stumbled through the doors, the first thing I did was find the bathroom to wash off all the blood. I was a mess. Thank goodness daycares are well stocked on bandages. The care worker put them all on himself because he was afraid I'd infect something.

Today, my hands finally stopped bleeding, but my knees haven't stopped yet. I'm changing my bandages for the night as we speak. Crawling into bed is so painful that I have to roll in. Ok, I'm all out of whines. Sorry for the TMI.

LO had a small birthday with a few friends today. Us parents are exhausted. No time for dinner, but everyone else is fed.

@Sweets parrow Whine all you want...that sounds so painful.
@thriftygranny Hope you feel better soon.

@Avoncallingyou Hope you can get warranty on the dehumidifier. Nice find on the bookshelves.

This afternoon we`re going to Goderich for something to do. We`ll be trying the Chinese restaurant that re-opened recently. It`s the one that was destroyed in the tornado. It was our favourite so hope it`s as good as it used to be.

    Good morning, everyone.

The show last night was great. Limitless was a dance show - the first half showcased 5 "differently abled" gentlemen breakdancing. Wow! The second half had a sort of dance off between hip hop and salsa. While they were all very talented, it might have been better to have the "urban youth" types first, cause the breakdancers were sooo very good they eclipsed everyone else. jmho At any rate, it was a great night out.

We slept in today, so it's already headed towards a PJ kinda day. Brats are feeling the same way.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Well i am beyond disgusted in the human race. My husband couldn't find his truck keys on Thursday morning. He used the spare to open his vehicle to see if he had left them locked in the truck overnight (which he had), he had his wallet with him and put it in the console and popped back in to the house for a few minutes to put the spare key back and grab his coffee and lunch. Fast forward to yesterday, I went to Save on Foods at 6 pm to rent a steam cleaner to use today, my card is declined ( our CC is in both our names). I race home to check our balance and it is maxed at 10,000. We always carry a zero balance, well someone has stolen my husband"s wallet out of his truck from our driveway while he went back in the house for less than five minutes. They have maxed both our personal and company credit cards, have his driver's licence and all other pertinent Id from his wallet. I spent most of my evening cancelling credit cards, he is away fishing and I had to get him to call from his cell to cancel one that was in his name only. I made a police report and flagged our credit with Equuifax and North American. that is how I spent my Saturday evening, oh he may have left his personal checkbook in his vehicle...who does that. Who ever stole the wallet had a ton of fun in less than 48 hours, numerous gas fill ups, a couple of trips to the casino, lots of online shopping and a cash withdrawal. I am shocked Visa didn't call us regarding the transactions, they have called in the past if I have have made a few in one day and we have never made a cash withdrawal ever with a credit card. Well I am off to rescue my husband from our cabin as he has no cash and no credit card, and an empty tank. He may get the silent treatment tonight!!

So sorry this happened. It seems there is no limit to how low some people will go.

I`ve been paying off my CC and got my limit lowered once already. Will probably do it again next month because I`m afraid of something like that happening.

Oh no that would be so upsetting!

I've had it happen to me twice that someone got the card numbers via taking a photo of the card at a gas station - once was a preloaded card from muchmusic that the guy tried to order a russian bride one about 6 yrs ago.

The most recent time was 3 months ago. i caught it before they spent more than 150 on it though. im so anal about the card balances i check them once or twice a week about whats been charged and if my payments have applied.

BF has 2 cards linked to mine but none based of his own credit as his ex trashed it.

TG-that is horrible. I hope you are not held responsible-besides I don't get how they used it without knowing your PIN or having to sign for it?

I have been wondering this as well, I understand that they could have used it online but the only thing I can think of is they used the TAP feature and did numerous transactions, but I thought the tap feature was limited ot small transaction only and had a cap on the dollar value per day.. When i checked online I didn't even look at the transactions, just the balance and called Visa immediately. It was the Visa rep that asked me if we had shopped at the gas station, been to the Casino or done the specific online shopping.Going back on this morning to look at the actual transactions I cant' access it as the card is frozen. It worries me how they could spend this amount of money without a pin. Visa does cover the purchases, thank goodness, but i am wondering if they were watching us and obtained our pin info from our computer if they were outside our house. I think that is possible? We live a very quiet neighborhood but lately the car break ins have been really bad here, I will be more mindful of shutting down my computer and cars will be in the garage from now on.

TG that is horrible. I had to cancel my one card a few weeks ago as someone charged 1 Australian Penny to my card, what shocked me was the first guy I spoke to asked me if I wanted to wait and see if anything else happened, um NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I caught it now so how about we cancel it now. He transferred me to the security department who completely understood where I was coming and cancelled it within seconds for me.

    Good Afternoon Everyone,
Not a lot going on around here today. Getting a little frustrated with trying to sell things, the other day a woman contacted me at 7:30 and just had to come and pick up the item that night which I was hesitant about as I got to bed between 8 & 9 but had to have it. Well I went to bed and woke to a message at 10:40 saying I am running late and won't make it tonight, seriously were you going to show up at my house after 10 pm when I told you to be here before 9? Again last night another woman contacted me and wanted to come at 8:30, well I had just put my pjs on so said today would work better, she said she would be here first things this morning, I said any time after 8 am would be fine but yep it is not 1:30 and so far no sight of her.

Right now we have 2 crock pots going, one has a beef roast in it, and there other has potatoes to make mashed potatoes. It is supposed to hit 42 here today so I am not even going to use the stove top. First time ever trying to make potatoes in the Crock Pot and normally would never consider it but with this heat I am not using the stove and it will be too hot to even BBQ.

Not much else going on, not even going to attempt a lot today because of the heat. Got some work to get done and think that is it for me for the day.

    Have a great day everyone.
