I think it was a move on Alex A.'s part. It's a good move for the team. Reyes has been plagued with injury, and just hasn't been the same. Hopefully a change of scenery will help him.
Do you think they Jays will still try to wheel and deal with the Padres for Craig Kimbrel, now that they've got Hawkins for relief? The Jays haven't had a bonafide closer in a long time.

Hello all,
Beautiful sunny day here. Hope you all enjoy your summer day.
On my agenda today is a visit to my parents' in TO,
and visiting the funeral home. Unfortunately, that's life....

I've been outside reading in the beautiful sunshine, but Jake was so uncomfortable, we came back in at last.
Personally, I want to go back out, but if I do he'll follow me, so for his sake, we're in for awhile.

Just made some changes for my travel plans for next year. Was gonna go to Vancouver in may but now its July. However before going to Vancouver I'm going to aneheim California for vidcon. 4 nights there and 4 nights in Vancouver. You know what's funny. From timmins to Vancouver flight would have cost $1150. But from timmins to LA, then LA to Vancouver, and Vancouver to Timmins...also $1150.

Hi, Hicks....when I got back from shopping by MYSELF...
....hubby said he sat outside in the gazebo on our swing with Jenny and she was just panting so much...even he felt it was too hot to sit outside, so in they came to the cool house. The van was so hot to get into each time, but it cooled off nicely before I hit the next store..
He's gone golfing men's seniors' night, Jenny's asleep on the bed in the computer room and I'm roaming around on here....I hope everyone else can stay out of the heat; it's wicked out there!
I just stepped out for a second to collect a few stargazer lilies from the front garden...ohhhh, this place will be smelling very cinnamony soon!!

Oh, I hope you didn't misunderstand me, I was in the sun, Jake was lying in the grass, in the shade of a tree, and he still couldn't take it.
I just love the smell of fresh flowers in the house.
You realize of course, that you feel the heat more because of the a/c. If you didn't have it on, your body would have adjusted to the heat. But, I do understand why you & Walker, et al, like the comfort of it. Me, with all the windows and drapes closed, it might just as well be winter. I feel so cooped up / caged.
Well, I'm off to start dinner, Enjoy your evening, whatever you're doing. Me I'll be watching the Jays - what else. lol

I missed the 1st 7 innings.

A transformer blew near by, but @ least I'll see the end of the game.

ha ha !!! Can you just imagine if I had chosen a Reyes shirt?? Nope thankfully, I am UBER cheap, decided not to dish out $14.00 for an official Jays t shirt. Found 2 nice royal blue shirts that say " Life resumes after Playoffs " ( $5.00 each ) and 2 plain baseball caps, also $5.00 each and the same colour as the shirts.
The caps have the kind of long bill that extends and curls nicely to keep the sun outa our eyes. Should be fun!! Drat last night that they lost, game sort of unraveled after that ball hit Howard's leg and was not challenged....or maybe the Jays were not allowed to challenge it? I have no idea, BUT it DID hit his leg!!

Good morning!

Enjoy the heat, you who have it and like it! Here, we enjoyed the rain while it lasted, sun should be back today to put us in the mid-20s.
When we got married 26 years ago, it was a brutally HOT day - I pretty much melted during the ceremony!
Walks, what was it like in your year?
Happy Anniversary to us both, lol!
Enjoy the day, everyone!
