Good morning every1.

I had a lot on my 'to do' list today, starting with an early appt @ the hospital. Now I have the time to do the rest of my running around, but not sure if I have the energy. We'll see. They just said it's 32 with humidex.

ha ha !!! Can you just imagine if I had chosen a Reyes shirt?? Nope thankfully, I am UBER cheap, decided not to dish out $14.00 for an official Jays t shirt. Found 2 nice royal blue shirts that say " Life resumes after Playoffs " ( $5.00 each ) and 2 plain baseball caps, also $5.00 each and the same colour as the shirts.
The caps have the kind of long bill that extends and curls nicely to keep the sun outa our eyes. Should be fun!!

Drat last night that they lost, game sort of unraveled after that ball hit Howard's leg and was not challenged....or maybe the Jays were not allowed to challenge it? I have no idea, BUT it DID hit his leg!!

Unfortunately, they weren't allowed to challenge. Even the infield umpires said they saw it, but it couldn't be challenged because it was considered an 'infield foul ball'.

When we got married 26 years ago, it was a brutally HOT day - I pretty much melted during the ceremony!

Yes!! Happy Old Married Ladies Day to us!! Oops, sorry Nat it must be me that is feeling old these days. The heat right now, oy!! On our " special day " I awoke before 5:30 a.m. ( a bundle of nerves ) and it was raining!! I tried to fight back the tears but panicked crying. Then, we just had so much to do and I found myself distracted by all the preparations, ( hair, nails, makeup appts. ) and before I knew it I was getting my gown on in my MIL bedroom and the sun broke out in time for our actual ceremony!!
You would never have guessed by the wedding pics that it had even rained.
Enjoy your celebrations too Natalka, we are taking in a Jays game as our outing....what is the gift for 36 years? beer, hot dogs and disappointment? ( if they lose! ha ha ) If so we have it covered!

Our son will come over to celebrate with us - these guys work so hard physically, they just want to veg when they come home, so no going out. Not sure what we will do for a meal yet.

Got takeout Chinese for supper, it was yummy, we are all full and there is enough to feed us at least another day.
And, big shock, I am actually having booze!!! Ukrainian vodka with wildberry juice is quite yummy!

Just found out my niece in AB had a little Anthony this morning; I didn't even know she was pregnant! So I ask my husband if he saw her at a family wedding here in June, that I could not go to. He said yes. Well, did you notice anything about her? He said yes, she was pregnant. Oy! Share this info, would ya??? Gah!
Anyway, he is very red and wrinkly (the baby, not my husband....), but a cutie. They have a girl who is two, I think.

Anyway, have a good evening everyone. I am such a cheap drunk, my bottom lip is already going numb, lol!!!

Nat and Walks! Happy Anniversary to both of you and your spouses and families! What a wonderful accomplishment of love!
Lady Diana and Prince Charles were married on July 29 (I forget what year) I remember getting up really early to watch and my mum and dad (both Brits) were visiting so we had quite a celebration.
Your stories are, gratefully, so much happier!
When I am marrying couples, whether it is raining or sunny, I tell them that means good luck!
I looked it up and the "Modern" Gifts for 26th anniversary is "Pictures" and probably you took some pictures at the game.
Also 36th anniversary gift is - bone china. I bet, Nat, you brought out some china during your celebrations with your son and husband.

^ avon, the numbers are opposite. Walks is 36 yrs married, we are 26 - and we looked at wedding pics! We don't do gifts.

Chuck and Di got married in 1981 - I got up early to watch it, too! I'm six months older than she was, but she was 20 when she got married, I was 28.

Our son just left - he'll come back tomorrow for supper - honestly, when we put away the food, all the containers were still full (because when we got them they were overfilled!) - so lots still to eat.

Going to play around on the net a bit, then head to bed.
