@avoncallingu
I made Bob's Red Mill mix this time...I got a clearance deal the other month.
This is the recipe I like though. I usually do it in the bread machine. I mix in advance with my mixer and take out the paddle to my machine, put on the GF setting and let it rise longer (during time it would be mixing). I often have to let it bake an extra 15 minutes.
I did my batch today in the oven for the first time. Came out really nice...may have to change practise! This is a white bread recipe. I find it a little dense, but it turns out every time and DD likes it. I am on the look out for a healthier GF bread.
Use Bulk Barn's GF flour blend with the save $3 WUS $10 to help save $$$ if you can. The recipe uses water instead of milk which helps with cost. :D

Watching til debt do us Part. I received a follow up call from PC Financial re mortgage rate, we spoke and he agreed with the penalty and discharge fee it's not in my best interest to switch at this time. I asked that he call me back in late December/January, he also said that I could get a 60 day guaranteed rate so may call in late November depending on the rate. Time will tell. Logan is gaming in the cool basement, I told him tomorrow no using the oven as it's blazing hot outside and now in the house....grrr...no air conditioning installed so I have a fan blowing on me, doesn't help I get hot flashed good lord.
2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

My 2 brothers came over for supper and we got reminiscing about old funny stories. Belly laughs! Poor dh was pooped as he prepared the meal. Bro and I did the dishes and then took the dogs for a walk. Our dogs had fits when a neighbourhood dog was walking her owner on OUR STREET! How dare she! Now the one who has been suffering with his back recently seems to be in discomfort again. Luckily the vet had given me some extra medicine in case this happened. Unfortunately not pain medicine but anti-inflammatory meds. If he's not better tomorrow we may have to take him back to the vet. He got all excited and was hopping about between my two brothers. It's hard to keep him down.
I gave away a lot of the stuff in our cupboards which we really shouldn't eat. They are going to go through them and keep some and take the rest to the Food Bank.
Tomorrow Bro #2 is taking Bro #1 back to Kitchener tomorrow to stay for a few days. That will be fun for them.
I have another wedding this weekend and then we are off to see our grand-baby in Denver. We have extended our visit for a few days at my Dh's daughter's request.
I'm going to say good-night. Have a great Tuesday, folks!

Hi, Saundyl!
This is the first time I've purchased that huge Bernat yarn in baby colours...I've knitted charity hats for little girls and ladies in it, but hoping I can get some little hats for kiddlings knitted with that yarn...it's SO darn soft!!
Do you knit or crochet those blankets? They must be so snuggly...and quick to knit up, she asks, hopefully??
I want to do something for our DD's Hubby's Brother and his wife's baby they're expecting, but they don't want to know the sex of the baby, which is making it SO difficult to plan anything! I mean...how much mint green and yellow can one baby stand?!! I just don't know what to do, unless I wait patiently until he or she is born...sometime in the next few weeks, but then the gift would be so late....any ideas? I've seen little animal hats for kids...do people still put them on their little ones?
Well, today is laundry day from camping, then not too much, really....hubby went out yesterday when we got back and picked up a few Maxwell House coffee containers he price-matched at the Superstore since wherever they were...operative word, "were", had all been sold. Rain's predicted, so I won't be doing any running around...not that I CAN, lol....but I might have taken the van out for a spin if it was sunny.....so...a nothing kind-of day....Jenny, of course, is still sleeping...we've been up since 6:30....
..Twerp.
Have a great day, everyone!!

good luck on the new eating changes avon, it does ALL start with emptying the cupboards and removing any temptations that lurk in there.
I feel rather good as here it is Tuesday and I have not gone shopping yet! My budget week runs Friday to Thursday, so Friday is usually the day I dash out and spend, but this time I simply topped off a few things we were out of and so far have used freezer/dehydrated foods and cupboard supplies for meals. DH and I just did up a lazy cabbage together, so the guys are set for lunches for now. Stay cool today for those of you working outdoors or inside with no A/C, I'm already feeling the heat just from being out back for a bit.

Tonight I will go through the spare room stuff for sale and get stuff posted! I notice people are buying in my area now so need to get it ready and out the door. Rainy day here today which is good! Hoping it means the rest of the week is nice as we have a road trip planned and another day at Wonderland hopefully. I have a massage booked at the end of the day and am so looking forward to it. Can't remember if I posted this or not but I went to RCSS at 8am Sat morning since I wanted to PM and use coupons for 20 bottles of shampoo. (Because DS is picky and likes that 2 in 1 and I would get 750 PC PTS per bottle (personal offer) Wanted to go early so I could ask cashier if I could do so (since it wasn't busy yet) and she said yes
Was disappointed that TAX FREE day was not on everything this time around but still was a good deal. Paid $25 and change for 20 bottles of shampoo and received 15,000 PC PTS. So happy to be stocked up again on shampoo.

Good morning, everyone.

Rough morning for us. Lily dog is under the weather, so I'm keeping a close eye on her (was up half the night checking on her). You know there's a problem when she turns her nose up at food. I have theatre tickets for tonight (Newsies), still debating whether I should go. I'm hoping she just got a bit too much sun the other day and it's nothing serious. The vet told me to just keep an eye on her (I don't want her to be miserable - hospital stays are lousy for me, they're even worse for her with all the dogs around). I figure as long as she keeps drinking and going outside, a day or so without food won't matter. It's just so weird to see my party girl want to sleep all the time.
Better get on with my day. The short one is also upset so better go cuddle with him.
Sorry for the downer post. The rest of the day will get better.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

I know it sounds backwards, but I always get excited about the extra mortgage payment because it's another chance to whittle down the debt!
Showoff.
Only kidding of course. Can you come over and show me how you do it, Miss Superwoman?
Amazing deal on shampoo! I was also disappointed that tax free day wasn't on everything. I remember when it was tax free weekend and it wasn't such a mad frenzy on tax free day. Oh, I feel old.

Delivered towels to AnnaMae`s yesterday morning. Had an exceptionally good month. The extra $$$ will come in handy to pay for all the yarn I bought last week.
Today I`m starting to work on fall towels so I can get them into stores in Sept. Then in Oct I`ll start on Christmas ones. It`s hard to believe summer is almost over.
@Andit Hope Lily gets feeling better soon.
@jasperandchar We don`t have air conditioner in either. Didn`t need it earlier and now we don`t want to bother anyone to put it in for us. After all how many more hot days can there be? lol Meanwhile we`re melting here. Doesn`t make a person feel like crocheting but I have to.

@Sweets parrow. Yes I'm not liking the 1 day only for tax free either. Not that it mattered for me this time
Hope they realize we don't like it and make it for everything again down the road.

I haven't really bought groceries yet lol. I bought the shampoo and pm'd for some school treats. Bought eggs Sunday night on our drive home from casino (we had free breakfast and early dinner on them
) My freezers are full (so much for cleaning them out) but happy I found good meat deals so will make meal planning easy the next while. Will pick up a watermelon and I think that is it till the weekend.
