Sorry to hear about your son's migraines, I find stress, and the weather in Alberta is really bad for him.We have a lot of pressure changes and it really does a number on him. He sometimes loses his speech as an aura and it is frightening, this happened 15 minutes into his first period at school. His teacher phoned and I had to pick him up, they are getting better and less frequent now as he gets closer to being an adult. I can't remember the stats but his specialist says boys are far more likely to grow out of them than girls,
It is funny you say about your stress at work, my daughter has always worked in the social work field and has slowly been working towards her masters, she has always worked in the aboriginal sector, mostly as an employment placement specialist because her dad is Metis and she does have doors opened due to her heritage. Well she packed it in and is taking a few months off,her stress level was pushed to the limit and I am so glad she could recognize it was time to change direction. She will figure it out and I am hoping she can find something less demanding.

I used to have a notebook of books. Each page was a different author and I'd add new books as they were released...added highlight the ones I read. If an author went too long unread they ended up not being updated. I misplaced it 3 years ago and never did redo it.b

We tend to watch for more on "sale" and stock up... but because of my healing disorder...limiting things I'm kw beef dairy lamb and fish so I heal properly happens over cost.
We eat alot of pork and chicken if we do hamburger we often make it half ground beef half ground pork. it's terrible but..we r more likely to splurge on a steak or wings when the boys r with their mom if there hasn't been an ok price for a while.

Our school hasn't banned wow butter yet so we bought it recently for the boys because they always want pb and j sandwhiches but can't . They were quite pleased today to get some wow butter and j sandwiches.
Our school is tough because there is a ban on nuts as well as chocolate. (Most granola bars or cookies the boys like have chocolate or nuts or both! ) they have also told us none of the microwave ravioli. ..but if we open the cans and put them in a Tupperware dish for some reason it's allowed.

Went to the thrift store tonight and spent 7 dollars. came home with more wool (bf tolled his eyes) 2 plastic wine glasses for camping, a set of 6 1/2 mm knitting needles and a silky black camisole. Quite pleased.
We will be renewing our Costco membership this coming month. Possible sale of the sebring pending.
Took dragon to the vet on monday. 200 dollars poorer but Got her anal glands expressed a cleaning on her ears. New meds for her ears and had a couple warts looked at. This year...I didn't get a disapproving look from the vet when they weighed her as she's down 7 pounds from her 27 lb weigh 11 months ago.

Gee, others with kids suffering with migraines - here, too. Milan is almost 24, and has been getting them since he was six. He gets classic ones - a lot fewer than he used to get as a child - well, maybe it's more that he recognizes the signs and knows what to do to avoid it coming on full-blast. The most terrible times were dealing with them when he was small - I would feel so helpless...
One of my older sisters gets cluster headaches, and one of her sons got migraines as a child, but they stopped when he hit mid-teens. I had hoped that would happen for our son, but not yet.
And for him, could never figure out triggers - closest we could come is maybe lack of sleep.
Well, yay for Friday! Hope you all have a wonderful day!

TGIF! Hope everyone has a fantastic day. I will be watching the clock for quitting time lol. Not back in till Tuesday. Taking Monday off to take my bestie to a Dr. appt. Sad but the time together is good and I am happy to help. It will be an emotional day for me since just looking at her (thinking about her) makes me cry. We are way too young to have Cancer in our lives.

I always tried to make sure both kids were home when we had steak etc because I too would feel quilty. Last time my teen was out with friends so I just put his steak dinner in Tupperware. After him not eating it for 2 days I cut the steak up in strips and his brother had awesome steak wraps in his camp lunch for 2 days! 2 Years ago we went camping the weekend after Labour day. My bestie and her family and us. We got 2 amazing waterfront campsites side by side. We had 3 dogs and 7 kids between us (older kids brought friends) and it was raining. We eat well even when camping so my friend was making simple hot dogs for dinner. We were having steak. My teen chose to eat hotdogs with them over steak lol So I don't worry about feeling bad anymore

I have neglected picking ripe tomatoes in the garden and well let's say something had a feast, oh well.
Got the boys to help me pick what was ripe SO tomorrow I will can the tomatoes.
Also have tons of green tomatoes so I need to figure out a way to get them to ripen without getting a fruit fly infestation.
My mom left this am, it was a nice visit until sadly Logan arrived home at 6pm last night. It was a nice surprise, however, not even 10 minutes later the kids were fighting like cats and dogs....sigh.
FIL & Logan said dh is in a excruciation pain which makes me sad that he would put himself through that...guys and their hobbies.
Again a huge thank you to everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes very grateful.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

I totally get the hobbies and pain thing. When I was still working...and crocheting was still a hobby...my sister used to ask me why I don`t quit crocheting. I told her that I didn`t enjoy my work and if I stopped doing the one thing I enjoy you might as well shoot me now. I`m glad I hung on because now my hobby has turned into a job that I love and don`t have to punch a time clock.

Went to RCSS on my lunchbreak to grab the extra lean beef. Had a PC PTS over get 4000 pts for every $40 spent so decided to spend $80. Bought almost 16 Lbs of beef (will be making meatballs, burger patties, taco meat, lasagna!! etc for the freezer) and a few other things for 8000 PC pts. Didn't like not having beef on hand. Now we can make lasagna! Have been wanting to make one for awhile. (and tube meat won't cut it!)
