Lol, maybe next election I'll try something like that to doom my local Liberal incumbent. (He's a good guy though, really).
I could call during supper hour, late in the evening, and very early in the morning.

"Rainbow Bridge" I know that this helps many when they say goodbye to their pets...but I just needed a place to say that quoting or using the "rainbow bridge" really irks me. And I say this as a still grieving pet owner.

Check out the Elections Canada training videos (I watched them today-click on Employment>Training material for poll workers). The bingo or information sheets at polling stations can be reviewed by observers for candidates. http://www.elections.ca/content2.asp...t=index&lang=e
Would not surprise if that is how the call contact is established.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Trying to be nice and it back firing in your face................
People on the buy and sell site have been begging for anyone who can make blankets for Christmas, looked at the pattern and I can do it so offered but made it clear this is a side thing for me as I work over 50 hours a week so can only do it in my limited free time. I have had a number of people ask okay fine but holy cow the comments when it comes to price.
On one blanket once all was purchased that was needed I was going to make $1.37 this was after multiple changes. We agree then she comes back and wants more changes which will add an additional 4 balls of yarn to the pattern, each ball is $7 before tax but she insists on only paying what was originally quoted. Finally I laid it all out and she backs out of the deal saying she found someone who agreed to make it for her for free as a nice gesture. Ok fine.
Now today another one wants a large intricate pattern as long as everything goes to plan (the pattern does not lie on the supply list) I would make just under $10 on the blanket. They come back to me and treat me like I am ripping them off saying how this is a Christmas gift and is supposed to be something nice for a family member but they cannot be expected to spend that amount on a Christmas gift.
I am not trying to get rich and honestly was trying to do this as a nice gesture to help some people out, I am pretty much charging cost and am not making more then $10 off any of these blankets and honestly it is becoming stressful. So much for my good deed.

I've taken to telling people buy me the supplies and I'll make it if it's a different pattern and if the supplies listed or provided are short then they need to supply more...they say no I finish ither redo and adjust with what I have and they get what they supplied for.
My normal ones I know cost to make my price is pretty firm.
I find people who don't craft don't see the value of time or products going in.

I think it is super frustrating when people don't see the value of handmade items vs mass market items. Lots of crafters at our local farmers market have that issue. I would expect to pay 2-3x material costs for a large project like a blanket at a minimum. Frustrating that they can't appreciate your hard work.
