    My dad and his new wife came to visit unexpectedly this weekend. They live 6.5hrs away. Dad did something that is a bit of a tradition...he provided us with meat for the freezer. 5 Hutterite chickens, 1 bison roast, 1 bison steak, 2 packs of ground bison, 1 pack ground beef, and 1 bison stewing bone. Dad apologized for not bringing us some moose, but they have plans to turn it into sausage.

    Tonight's supper is a slow roasted Hutterite chicken with onion, potatoes, and carrots.

    edit: I forgot that Dad also brought some bison burgers. Our baby twins have sinus congestion, so I'm altering supper and cooking Betty Crocker scalloped potatoes.

    We bought some frozen Chinese Dumplings to try so we will have these with either homemade Fried Rice or Noddles on the side. Think I am going to vote for noddles.

    But I tried a new recipe for devilled eggs. It had the usual ingredients, a little cream cheese, a tsp. srirachi and a tbl. rice vinegar of all things. Hubby loved it!
