Homemade soup - base is broth from pork back ribs: onions, barley, rice, potatoes, carrots, peas, corn, yellow beans, green beans, lots of dill, a bit of pasta.
I later had a sandwich - ham, lettuce, and cucumber on rye.

lots of grub in the fridge will probably have the pepper steak and rice this evening, maybe some steamed broccoli with it...we have a storm that's suppose to start this afternoon so if we do lose the power everything can be reheated on the wood stove.

I've posted this before but it always cracks me up when I see the price of pop here when it's not on sale..seen this yesterday when I was at the grocery store and had to take a pic , coke is better anyway

Last night I had Potato Soup, I previously made the base and froze it so all I needed to do was reheat add the finishing touches and dinner was ready. Loved how quick and east it was, think I will make another batch or 2 for the freezer.

Tonight is something with Chicken Breast, have not gotten much further then that yet

Its date night in so he always makes something special. Sometimes something new and sometimes an old fav I never complain. Will have to report later as to what it is. I like surprises.

Going to be some really high winds but I have a cap on the wood stove now so things "should" be okay.

Fish on buns - cooked up fish sticks, buns are these awesome soft kaisers from Sobey's bakery. I had mine with lots of lettuce and mayo, with sauteed onions. Husband's had cheese and onions.

If we are hungry later, some leftover homemade soup maybe.
