Sunny day this morning meant it was time to cut back the chrysanthemum stalks and let other plants get more sunshine and bloom time. Noticed old and new tulip bulbs' stalks are 2 or 3 inches high. A clump of crocuses are up and crocus 2 was lying flat on the soil-awww.
It was wise to wear my hood up this morning while walking in town-the upper tree branches with ice were dropping the ice for a few hours.
Glad to have some fresh air-hope everyone celebrating Easter tomorrow gets to enjoy the day!2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Hope everyone is having a great day.
We decided to do our Easter Dinner today. I found a Ham in the freezer, just bought potatoes this week and pulled frozen veggies from the freezer so no extra money spent which makes me happy.
I got half of the drawers done for under my bed, they are quick to put together but we were slow to get on it today. I started laundry as soon as I got up and got some extra loads done. I have been slowly washing up some of our winter stuff so we can put it away as well we have been changing the sheets on our beds and using spares and I have not washed them (bad I know) so trying to get caught up.
I was going to go build the other 2 drawers now that we are done dinner but they reset the servers at work so I think I might do some work instead. I have to admit I am a little sore from all of the sitting on the floor and standing in awkward positions building my bed yesterday and then doing the drawers today.
I think well I do my work since I have to make sure my laptop does not disconnect from the servers I will make a plan for some batch cooking tomorrow. We keep talking about planning ahead and getting stuff done but lately we have not done it so I have decided tomorrow is the day, no if and or but. I really need to get my stuff together as I have realized my life is never going to slow down, I am just destine to live an insane chaotic life so I will have to make it work.
Have a great night everyone.

Happy Easter! We went out of town Friday for the night to visit family (3 hour drive). Had an amazing dinner (fish fry with tons of salads etc). We decided on Chinese for dinner last night since we were tired (didn't sleep well) Since my man had to work today I have been up early and have done so much that now I can enjoy the sunshine. Bed sheets already washed and bed re-made. All clean laundry away. Load in washer and dryer. Bathrooms cleaned. Kitchen cleaned. Did a quick shop at SDM- needed birthday gifts (20 x the points!) Garbage and recycling out to garage. Feeling good!!

Good Morning Everyone,
Slow start to the morning here, I so did not want to get out of bed so I didn't get up until 8 which is totally unheard of for me.
Today is going to be a cooking day for me prepping for the week to come and even more long term for the freezer. So far I have made:
Potato Bread Dough (we use this to make homemade pizza pockets)
Mixed Berry Oatmeal (in the slow cooker)
In half an hour I will put a batch of Pizza Dough in the Bread Machine which I will split in half and freeze for later use, we use it for many things so it will give us many options later.
We took out a family package of ground beef that was frozen whole (never got broken down), Will make this into 3 or 4 different things we can package and freeze for quick meals later
We have 2 chicken breast to use up, thinking one might become Chicken Parm Soup.
Not sure what else will happen today will have to wait and see how far I get.
Have a great day everyone

@SassyAshley -oh, I'd be delighted to find such a good size frozen ground beef find at home. Tacos, casserole or just to have it cooked and toss in some vegetables, pizza sauce and whatever other pantry goody would add zip. Delighted you are getting more bedroom furniture together. That Ikea shopping trip last fall is the gift that keeps giving. @coupongirl - I found the Harvard Square Shoppers closed on my way to the college this morning. The Rexall at Westcliffe Mall had a 11-5 sign and I was early so will return to the shop before closing to get the $2.49 pop on my way home. I think my local Shoppers is open but have to check hours online. So glad the fog went away and the sunshine is beaming to take chill off that nor'easter wind... That is wonderful that your family viewed your mother's party on VHS! Bet Ashlyn was really curious at seeing all of you on tape! @Frugalbigmama -exciting weekend you had! Clean bedding is the best thing in housekeeping-even better if a new set is smoother than another set (my Martha Stewart set is on the bed this weekend).

we did our Easter/Bday celebration yesterday at my parents. I popped in their local Independent as I needed the chocolate Lindt bunnies for my niece and nephew, even at their ages I like to get them a treat. The store had a great deal on Pork roasts and I had the 200 points for every dollar so we stocked up 4 tenderloins and 4 roasts & we earned almost 10000 points. My niece is done her hairstylist program & did Logan's hair yesterday. Its only hair I have always said so when my dark haired child said he wanted to bleach it blond and dye it blue on the top I had to go along. It totally suits him and he is a outgoing kid so he can sport it, his brother on the other hand would never be so bold.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Happy Easter!
To all who celebrate the resurrection of Christ on this day: He is risen!
We are having some church members (and friends) over for lasagne dinner. They are from Belarus and don't have much family around. We visited with our families the past two days. And as per usual, Monday, WE CRASH. :D"There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

such a lovely ( NOT!! ) pouring rain kind of day here. My solar bunny in the window will not be moving much today. Did a rather Un-frugal thing by buying 2 bouquets of Easter coloured flowers and filled a giant vase here to have for the dinner Sunday. Normally we cannot have any cut flowers on any surface as our cats head straight for them and start munching!! When company left and we headed up to bed, we had to put them on the top of the fridge!

I, too, know what you mean about flowers. When I have them, they need to be on top of the microwave.
However, somehow the cat(s) got ahold of the pussywillows we got from church last week. I didn't realize my husband had just put them on top of the tv, and these past few days we have noticed those cute grey little nubbins all over the house...
