    Good day, all!

Nice and sunny today, great to have a door open to have fresh air in the house!

It's my husband's birthday today, so I just made a cheesecake - his fave.
Son is coming over for supper, we'll order something in - not sure what yet.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Been trying to organize the place (I've misplaced a document I need to do my taxes - my brain is somewhat mushy these days, sigh). On the plus side, the brats have been trying to help (Quincy cat piles all the papers together and naps on them...until Lily dog comes along and drools on him...next thing ya know, fur and saliva coated papers everywhere! )

Better get back to sorting, then off to make dinner.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Sending good wishes for your mom's surgery tomorrow! I will be thinking about you.

    TGIF!!!!! And we have sunshine!!!
Had a great chat with my teen on the way to school this morning about managing his money better. Really trying to encourage him to "want" to save for future spending. I think he may have actually got it this morning. Told him he will want to do fun stuff this summer so put money aside for that so he doesn't have to borrow from mom/wait for paycheque. He has money in 2 accounts (future and planned spending ) that he doesn't even ask about lol. Trying to get him back on board since he has bought lots of music equipment but it's expensive and I'm happy he did so well paying for all of it but need him to get back on track.

    Good morning, everyone.

Mom's surgery got canceled (Dr found enough of a sample last time they drained the fluid to test, so no biopsy needed for now). So, I decided to stay downtown, so my poor Mom can sleep (the brats get so excited that they wander all night).

In keeping with the theme of making Andi's life far from calm, I'm dealing with a plumbing issue, so I'm off to the hardware store this morning to pick up a part to hopefully fix it and save the cost of a plumber. Have theatre tonight to look forward to & relax a bit.

Brats are in a mood these days, especially the short one. I decided to put together a puzzle yesterday & a certain someone lay in the middle of the board & hissed and attacked the pieces that were making his nap spot uncomfortable. It was all I could do to not burst out laughing.

    Better get moving.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

FBM-at our house teen gets money once per month and bank of Mum and Dad doesn't issue interim loans which means she has to budget for the end of the month or skip some things! May sound mean but I figure it is a good lesson for future adult life.

-ladies teens do spend (lol)-funny my son was a saver from the get go and daughter well it flew out of her pockets from her jobs (winners) wasn't a good job as she saw things coming out on the floor that very day and bought at the end of her shift
-now she is a totally different woman saving to pay cash for another car -she has a car fund and a baby fund to cover her morgage when she is off on mat leave
-oh and son told me the other day -the 300.00 cash(from 3 different people) he got from his birthday end of feb is using it not on himself -but on an oil pan for his car plus adding some money to it
-see it all usually works out in the end they do turn into responsible adults (sometimes)

oh your brats are too funny

Good news that your mom didn't have to have a biopsy after all, have they decided on a medical plan on how to proceed?

    Enjoy the theatre

That's great lizzie having to manage your money for a whole month, learning to budget and plan/prioritize wants vs. needs is so essential these days

Especially now with so many people going to pay day loans, etc.

Supper tonight is still up in the air something on the bbq but what I'm not quite sure yet. The sun is shining and so beautiful.

Wishing everyone a great afternoon & weekend.

PS dh picked up our new bedroom door and window last night on his way home..... super excited, can't wait for the room to be ready and move in
