Needed some cash so went to RCSS to use bank machine and take a look around. Bought 8 bottles of Sweet Baby Ray BBQ sauce (Pm'd Metro and used coupon=FREE )
They had a freezer bin full of ice cream (not expired) for $2 each. Bought a few for DS for the freezer. It's summer!
Lots of clearance items in the store if looking, cereal for .94 (the superman weird flavour etc)

    Afternoon all,

I moved a bunch of things into our new room this am, I'm taking it easy as I feel strange (dizzy) maybe low blood sugar or blood pressure, oh well.

I slept like a princess so nice to be sleeping anywhere but the dinning room/living room. Funny thing is that the livingroom now seems enormous and we always felt it was small, I guess we now appreciate the room and not having a bed, dresser, dinning table, tv stand from bedroom and tons of other stuff jammed in a very small space .

Supper tonight is hot Italian sausages on a bun, picked up the sausage while out with my mom yesterday $1.99lbs which is great and also going to bbq some peameal bacon as well so dh has something for a few lunches.

Last night I went to pickup a free rhubarb plant, I posted on 2 local facebook pages back in early April that I was looking for some rhubarb plants should anyone have any they would like to share. The 1st plant is planted and I have another plant from another person to pickup this week or next . This past winter I used all 53 cups of rhubarb that someone gave me for free .

I will finish organizing my coupons this pm with ds2 (my coupon buddy). Hoping to receive 2 envies today or tomorrow in the mail so I can use them up before they expire.

I finally did my tally from last Wednesday's shopping, $188 by pming, sales and coupons so well worth the efforts AND I'm back into the full swing of things (haha).

Wishing everyone a wonderful afternoon and evening.
2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

Went to amazon found a ton of options better pricing, no handling fee, lower minimum, plus I have giftcards I can use off Swagbucks so no $$$ out of pocket.

Amazon I expect to order to online but stores like Wal-Mart seeing more and more online and having less in their stores really is starting to effect how I shop. Getting a little fed up with going to a store and being told to go home and order online and then when you go online you have minimum shipping fees, handling fees, long delivery times. I go to your store because I want the product now.
I order from WM online every month or so, but always hit the minimum for free shipping. Shipping is usually a week, and I've never had them be late, sometimes a day early. In big cities, they have free pickup in store, but not us.

When my son needed a phone case, he ordered off Amazon as well.

Sun is shining today, and our lilacs are finally out! YAY!

Hope you all have a great day!

I hope you did not take my post as a criticism. I always believe we should save our money where we can so we can spend it on the people and things that bring joy to others and ourselves. Besides that, I *love* weddings, from the ones that cost $500 to the ones that cost $50,000. They're just such happy occasions that can't be ruined by torrential rain (like at mine), blizzards that shut down highways (my BIL), or emergency surgery (my dear friend's). It's as though the sun can't help but shine on the happy couple. I also love wedding showers, bridal showers, ....maybe I just like themed parties. Ha ha!

Thank you, I will have a closer look at those apps. How do you tell if there is a charge to get them?

This weekend, I was over at a family of five (three young children under six) and I think I would have lost it. The oldest is the instigator, and riles everyone else up. The second child is older than mine, but boy, can he cry a lot and the volume is not to be ignored! The baby is probably the one that needs the most attention, but she is the most silent, except when she demands food, which can take over an hour to eat. Gracious! I think one is impossible to keep up with sometimes, two is a disorganized mess of constantly rushing, and three would be a madhouse with two working parents! Luckily, mom is able to work from home, but I have no idea how she does it. Parents of three or more, I salute you!
I didn't take it as a criticism. Just an opportunity to provide more insight. It was an expensive shower. Much more than others I have hosted...because it was catered.

How did we do it? I guess, in the wisdom of my grandfather who said, "make sure they know who is boss." lol Now all my boys tower over me and joke how their mom kept them all in line And, yes, they were spanked (in love) at times but they don't remember being spanked. All this nonsense that parents have to always reason and talk through problems with their kids drives me crazy. There are times when kids cross that line and no talking will help. We are proud of our boys - they were ALWAYS raised in love and that is the most important gift a parent can give their kids.
We spank, sparingly. Now that my older is in school, especially. We call it a "tap on the bum." Heaven help us if they go to school and say we spank them. Potato, potatoe!

I did some of the .88 deals at Food Basics today. $2.88 for almonds and $3.88 for pistachios were good deals for us.

granger =it looked like a beautifull lovely shower -your sister will remember for sure
-for my daughter's wedding shower =I had used my girlfriends house as she had a bigger livingroom family room and I had it catered -was quite expensive than any other shower where you bake or cook the food
-I was working in retail at the time and taking my dear mother to countless appts as my mom had just had heart surgery that summer the shower was in nov and I didn't have the time or energy and I wanted it to be nice for my only daughter -I remember a few girls at my work saying "ohhh how can you afford that catered shower all on your own"in the lunch room
-see as smart canuckers sometimes we do splurge and then other times we don't

-my dear daughter went home from work yesterday at 2.00 p.m -she felt weak ,light headed and wore out ,I feel she is overdoing it working 50+ hours a week -so I called her in the evening and she had had a nap -this is where I wish she lived closer so I could have popped over
-today she is fine -she ate a lot more balanced meals and I feel better for her

I think there are definitely times and cases where spanking (done properly) is appropriate. But, my nephew was raised only through talking and reasoning and he turned out fine. He's 20, responsible, makes well thought out decisions, and is currently living at home to help pay down the mortgage since his parents sacrificed and paid for private school. So far, he's turned out the best out of all my nieces and nephews on both sides (all 15 of them!) and he was the only one not spanked. It depends on the situation and the child, but I certainly remember the yelling matches when he was a child with him and his mom (for standing in traffic, drawing on the walls)!

Thankfully, time outs and confiscating beloved possessions have been working with our toddler, but time will tell. Ask me in two years.

Hump day finally! Today I am on a mission to clean out my office of old files etc. They have been hanging around way too long!

Folded towels from the dryer this morning and hung the load in the wash I put on late last night outside to dry this morning.

Tonight DS has soccer so home for dinner then off we go. Will put a load of laundry in the washer tonight again and hang out to dry in the morning. I think this will be my system during the week when it is nice out. Then I can put away the dry stuff after dinner and keep on top of it.

    Good morning everyone.

Quincy cat woke me up extra early to tell me that the neighbour doggy is barking (which explains the weird dream I was having). Made the mistake of telling him to go back to bed & we all slept in.

I'm off to see Forever Plaid tonight, so should be fun.

Better get going. Lily dog is insisting we go out and enjoy the sunshine. Again.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

    Morning all,

Quiet day here, 2 loads of laundry washed and hanging out to dry.

Supper is pork chops with rice.

Ds2 has his appointment tonight, I'm hoping to run into WM quickly after it, however, it's the Survivor finale so we'll see time wise .

I really need a pvr but they are so expensive to buy out, has anyone purchased a hard drive to attach to their receiver?

My list from the new flyers is all done and coupon matchups as well.

It's so cold, I'm debating on wether or not to make a fire.

Well off to figure out what I will have for lunch and see if I can bring up a few things to our new room.

    Wishing everyone a great day

Rain - so happy....has been very dry here. I'm finally taking a day off to see a friend. My life can be consumed with looking after my elderly parents and I am slowly learning to set boundaries for myself.

    Have a good day all.
