-everyone if you could say a prayer for hubby's brother (he has 4)he is in intensive care with a blocked artery-having surgery Monday
-gonna have ashlyn sleep over tonight -first time in a bed here (twin bed in spare room ) son will bring bedrail -fun but tiring
then on sunday we are going to a park for a swim and bbq with son/wife ashlyn -ashlyn's other grandparents too
-had a great sleep last night 8 hours as I was so cool this rain is nice except when you have plans

Happy for the rain, but it cancelled some plans I was looking forward too. I don't like driving in torrential downpours. We have already had one bad downpour this morning.

@avoncallingu If you have an oven range, try clearing the bottom drawer and placing a trap in there. If there are mouse droppings when you clear it you will probably catch it within 48 hours.

We keep our A/C at 25 degrees. This is too high for many people. But it appears to be helping us!

^ avon, I agree with Granger - put traps under the stove - that's where we have caught mice - and use peanut butter in the trap, not cheese!
In a few places we tried the sticky traps, but the conventional ones have worked better.
Our two indoor cats were pretty useless as mousers - though what was nice was Vader, the younger one, would point out when/where there was one at least!

hubby and I went to see his brother in hospital-he may have surgery on sunday -his spirits are up
-cleaning the house -just washed a load and cleaned the floors ,last night I found old markers down the basement from when my kids were younger -brought them up as ashlyn likes to use markers now
-may pop over to shoppers to get a few treats for us and ashlyn ,and bird seed at the bulk barn for the bird feeder

i went to use my dryer today and discovered it has no heat, I have not used it in three months so I guess it was lonely. Of course it happens on a rainy weekend when I have a lot of laundry and we are going away Monday. Oh well at least we have the clothes line now and hopefully Sunday will be Sunny. I have put stuff on the drying rack at least.

Another birth in our extended family - a new great-niece, daughter of my husband's nephew and his wife; he's a priest in Croatia.

Her name is Carolina (pronounced CaroLEEna) - a real cutie with lots of dark hair.

-well son called he wants to buy us a pizza -I told him nope -but he insisted-ahhh we are spoiled this week by son /daughter-in-law they are dropping ashlyn off at 5.15 for a sleepover -as they have a back yard party to go to -cant wait

I'm all caught up and wishing those that are not well a speedy recovery and congrats on the new babies

We've been home since last week but I have been pre-occupied....My nieces wedding is tomorrow afternoon so we will be spending the night in a motel nearby the venue. Tuesday we are delivering our gift to my nice and her husband a homemade coffee table, I will try and post a picture. Then we will venture off to our cottage after the delivery until Friday....

Where oh where has the summer gone, I'm enjoying the cooler temps today and yesterday and thankful for the rain.

I decided to post. Few things today as I suspected they would sell and sure enough to I have 2 pick ups pending. All of the are things that in the past I would have given away. So it's nice to make a bit of money off them. We have some bigger expenses coming up and I am actually enjoying this little cash stream. I even posted some stuff for 3.00 which I previously would not have done if not for the success of you ladies.

Prayers for your BIL, coupon girl!

I have changed from a GIANT washer-dryer to a Liliputian apartment sized set. It's hard to get the sheets in the washer and drying is a challenge.

More huge rain storms today, but it has cooled down.

6 days until my SIL' s wedding. J&C, I was wondering where you had been. It seems like we both will be attending weddings next weekend. I was just asking DH tonight if he thinks we can keep up with the festivities! We are pretty low-key but I'll see if we can't still "cut-the-rug".

DH will be acting as "Father-of-the-Bride." I am so excited as in February we thought he might not be here to attend this wedding. Thanks to medical acumen, determination, kind thoughts and prayers, he'll be walking her down the aisle next Friday. Thanks for all your Healing thoughts along the way!

We bought 2 ceiling fans at Canadian Tire today. We went for one which was in the flyer but found another kind that we liked better that was on sale for half price.

It turned out that they rang up at full price. Someone had forgotten to take the old sale price down. So they gave them to us for the mistaken cheaper price I asked if they had SCOP and they gave us an extra $10 off - no problem.

So original price $199.99-$100.00=99.99X2=$199.98-$10.00=$189.98+tax. Really happy with this.

I could use some prayers. I have had a lot of abdominal pain today, threw up, etc. Finally decided to go to our local ER this evening because this abdominal pain is comparable to labour pain. My bloodwork was inconclusive. I was given an antinflamatory shot that is safe in my situation. Depending on tomorrow morning's bloodwork results I might be sent up to Regina for an ultrasound or CAT Scan because these tests are not available in Estevan on the weekend. It might be appendicitis and require surgery. I have to wait and see.
