Thanks so much Avon, it is deeply appreciated. I know life isn't supposed to be easy but it would be nice if the sorrow was spaced out a bit.

Got rid of some empty boxes that DH and I have been unpacking - Free to a good home - on Kijiji. I have some things that need to be posted but I am too pooped to post them at the moment.

Hope Angela is doing ok today!

I am trying to get our second bedroom ready for a visit next Sunday from DH's son who will be coming up to Canada from Tampa to go to his aunt's wedding and then coming to see our new apartment. Each box holds a new surprise!!! Some of them were packed last Christmas when we thought we might move in February.

I'm also trying to organize what I will wear. I have been back on my "take-care-of-yourself" diet - so some extent - and have lost some weight in the last 2 weeks which will make fitting into the dress I bought a lot easier - Tomorrow is "get-your-hair-cut" day and try to buy some new "half-fancy" white shoes. My feet are always a challenge - I have to have tie-ups or something very close - which makes dressing up hard.

I will also need a "wrap" of some kind as I would not feel comfortable wearing a sleeveless dress in the church - call me old-fashioned!

Then sometime this week I will need to get my nails to look more like I have been living the life of luxury instead of ripping apart boxes. They are all split and chewed and generally wrecked!

Wishing you all a great Sunday!

No major disasters today I will take that as a good sign although somehow I have hurt my arm/shoulder. No idea what I did as I did not have an aw that hurts moment but noticed as I was taking a break my arm was hurting and now I notice the pain is going down my back which makes me think shoulder.

I made a couple new recipes today, I had some almond butter I needed to use up. They are okay but I do not think I will made again. One is a no bake bite with rice crispies, oats, almond butter, honey and dried fruit (I used blueberries), I find them really sweet and they do not really hold together so make them hard to travel with and I wanted them for work. I also made an Almond Butter Cookie which was just egg, almond butter, brown sugar and chocolate chips, they are extremely soft as in hard to eat they fall apart, the recipe said they would harden as they cool but mine did not. I also find they lack flavour.

I also prepped some food for the week. I chopped up the fixing for wraps with a few different variations so all we have to do is pack up the fixings we want and away we go. I also roasted some potatoes that can be reheated during the week for side dishes.

Between yesterday and today I managed to get the laundry done so I am happy. I am back to little victories right now since life is so chaotic. Every weekend this month I have events to attend which is great and I know they will be a ton of fun but it is stressing me out because with work I am not home during the week. This is making it so hard to get things done around the house.

I also started to attack the pile of dishes (please don't judge me) but apparently well I am away dishes are not being washed so dirty dishes have taken over our kitchen. I was temped to leave them since they are not mine (I am never home to make any) but decided that probably isn't very adult like so I dove in head first. They are not all done but a good chunk are.

Looks like a few changes are coming possibly in a few different areas which is going to change things up for me. I can't say too much yet as we are still waiting to see where to cards fall but by the end of this week I should know where everything falls and where I fit into it all.

Have a great night everyone, off to find dinner.

I had my bloodwork re-done at 8am this morning. I still haven't heard from the doctor. The ER Doctor from last night and my regular GP are supposed to get a copy of the results. I'll call my doctor first thing tomorrow morning. They tossed around a lot of possibilities last night. CT and ultrasound are available during the week in Estevan, where I live. My guts are still uncomfortable, but don't hurt nearly as much as they did yesterday. I ate a light low fat lunch today and it made me hurt more afterwards, so I took a nap. It also hurts more if the babies push on my belly. I generally feel off and sore. I'd really like to know what caused all of my severe pain yesterday.

I hope everything is ok with Angela. She has not checked in.
Avon: we are going to Frankenmuth Michigan. I know it's super touristy but we just want a short vacation close to home and this is a 4 hour drive. My dad is not well and this trip allows us to stop in coming and going as they are 2 minutes off the 401. If we suddenly have to return then it's only 2 1/2 hrs to my parents. I will also drop off some produce on our way through. Good luck at the casino.
Ashely: we have had unexpected water in the house a few times, the joys of living in a house built in the 60's. I think the last roof repair finally was able to actually address the issue and fingers crossed it has been good, but the worry and cost is not fun.

Angela: we were posting at the same time, thanks for letting us know where you are at. It's too bad you don't have the answers yet. Years ago I had the worst pain in my abdomen and it was random. After trial and error and a bunch of tests the doctor could not figure it out. I finally realized that in happened only when I had product from a certain dairy company. Totally bizarre i know.

Good morning! 4 day work week for me then I am off till the 29th!! Woohooo! So much planned to do! Some fun and hopefully some good house cleaning! My plan this week afterwork each night is to finish the kids bedrooms and have back to school stuff ready.

I am using a $100 PC G/C (redeemed with points long ago) for groceries for the next 2 weeks. Took advantage of some deals with point bonus' and coupons etc so did a bit of stocking up too.

We made 2 rotisserie chickens last night. So lots of leftovers for the week. Will make quesidias tomorrow night since both kids like them.

Found some good deals while out shopping yesterday. Grabbed another Aveeno bodywash for just the tax. Also found 2 gifts for my niece. 1 for Christmas and 1 for her birthday next summer.

We have tons of cucumbers from the garden. Have been great for our guinea pig! And I cut up a container for my snack today. Will do so for the rest of my work week to use some up.

    Have a great Monday everyone!

I'm sorry to hear the illnesses and tragedies are still ongoing. Is it just me or does it seem to have become a snowball and just kept on going? I don't remember that things were like this last year. Or does it mean that we're sharing more and becoming a closer group? Whatever the case, I'm glad we can all sympathize, empathize, and care for each other even though most of us might never meet.

    Hopefully, things aren't too serious @Angela273 .

I've come down with a nasty cold, nastier I'm sure due to pregnancy and the demands of a young family. Yesterday, I went up for a nap and it threw LO off her schedule. She asked for me and DH told her I was sleeping because I wasn't feeling well. She thought I was out and it couldn't be her naptime because she was waiting for me to come home.

I have a horrible cough that's keeping me from rest, congestion, exhaustion, but comparatively nothing to what others are going through. Saturday morning, I felt as though I was hit with a nasty virus and been completely wiped out ever since.

Well I feel like we are still getting back into the rhythm of our regular life at home after our holiday. Getting caught up on chores, bills etc. I think until school starts and DH and DD go back to work/school, it will not feel llike the typical routine. I go back to work with " my babies" on Wed.

I'm disappointed that I never heard from a doctor today. My GP is one of two anaesthesiologists in my community, so he was in surgery most of the day. I left a message at his office, he was confused because he didn't order the tests and he never called me. I have appt with him for my kids on Wednesday afternoon, so I'll have the chance to ask him then. I'm still feeling better than K was this morning. Still don't know what caused this, which I find concerning.

I bought three life jackets for $10, as a bundle. The marching two orange ones are the right size for our son currently and will be good for our twins to grow into. They are older, but we will rarely use them as we don't even own a boat. I picked up a few things from the CO-OP since I was on that side of the city to pick up the life jackets. $1/can of fruit, $1/can mushrooms, $6.99 jumbo box of brown sugar Miniwheats.

I'm buying a ski pants & jacket set from a lady for $10 for baby girl, I don't have winter clothes for her yet. A lady acquaintance of outlets is coming to buy fresh garden veggies from me in the morning.

We have rain finally!!!! I moved my hanging baskets out in the yard so they can be watered today. It is suppose to rain all day which is great and hopefully the fire ban will be lifted.

Lunch today is leftovers from dinner (meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans)

Dinner tonight will be quesidias (leftover chicken from Sunday) with cucumbers from garden and probably potato puffs or something from the freezer. Will dig in the freezer tonight and take something out for tomorrow night. Have bacon ready so will pick up romaine tomorrow for .99 to make ceaser salad with whatever else I decide is for dinner.

Tonight my plan is to clean bathrooms, the kitchen after dinner and post stuff for sale! I'm guessing we won't be swimming tonight because of the rain so trying to be productive in the house.

Any deals you are after this week? For me if I make it out to Walmart I will grab another Aveeno bodywash for just the tax. (my friend really likes it too so I'm trying to stock us both up ) Other then that I can't think of anything else I was after.

Smart shopping for the kids! Planning ahead is what saves money. (not scrambling around last minute trying to find a deal)

I'm noticing people posting snowsuits on the mom swaps this week so I plan on re-posting my Rubbermaid bin of winter wear. You never know who is looking!
