Morning everyone, Been out to Food basics and dollarama already and back home. Got this champagne diva body lotion and anti aging cream. Also a couple moisturizing face masks, I'm turning into a girl haha sorry lol. -25 so that was a chilly 15 minute walk there and back. I texted my aunt and she was like but isn't it a bit cold for that. Yeah but I wanted to get out for a bit.

Well my wonderful Smart Canuck's Family,
The day is almost done here, which means I will be off shortly for the holidays, returning in the new year.

The Lady and I would like to send the warmest of wishes this holiday season to each and everyone one of you and your families.
Safe travels if you are doing so, stay warm if you're planning on being outside, good eats and sweet treat for those indulging (I know will be!...and then making my way over to the exercise and weight lose thread in the new year!)

I feel pretty good today, for a change, so I walked around the block earlier, delivering some cards and small thank you / Christmas gifts to all those who’ve helped me over the past few months. I was going to do it tomorrow, but now they’re calling for another 10 - 15 cm this afternoon & tomorrow; the streets are clear right now, so I upped my plans. Done.

Two nice things also happened this morning:
* I won $100. Shell Gift Card in a contest I’d entered. Didn’t win the grand prize, free gas for a year, but 2nd place isn’t too shabby.
* Then a neighbour came over for a visit. She'd lost her husband a couple of months ago, and knowing that I’d gone through my loss 3 weeks before Christmas, came over to talk. She said something wonderful, although I don’t think it’s true; she said "I was the heart & soul of the neighbourhood". How nice is that.
She’d also baked some gingerbread cookies, and we had some with coffee. I don’t think the ginger agreed with my innards though, I've been paying for it ever since, but it didn't cause more pain, so I'm not complaining.

I don't know anything about your neighbourhood, but I'm pretty darn sure that you ARE the heart and soul of this thread and likely others that I don't visit. You're a blessing to all of us and I'm SO absolutely thrilled that you're feeling better? So no more doctor visits?!
You're definitely on the road to recovery!!! Yay!! You'll feel like a real spring-chick by the time the tulips are up again!!

You and ... well, you know I had to have a mouse in there, too, right?!!

Thank you for that @Lynn49, but no, each of us is a just a little piece of the heart that makes up each thread.

I think I'll be back under the knife by the time the tulips come up. I already have 2 more hospital tests booked over the next few weeks, so believe me, I really value the good days.

@22hicks, aren't those felted mice gorgeous? Some women have such imaginations and talent to create them...how's this for talent?
She charges $88 for each of them...which I think if way underpriced for the work that goes into them!



Of course they do make critters other than mice, but my Pinterest page actually has a "Mice" board!
