Ciel-DD is not First Nations so would not be eligible for dental coverage. I believe her uni plan will cover part of the extraction but we will wait and see.

Stayed home and got a quote for insulation for the attic - Ontario government is rebating $1 per square foot. My friend is paying $1,500 and will get $1,300 back. Just need 2 more quotes....but my house is a mess as the attic access is the main closet.
Found Ontario strawberries at Fortinos.....I am in heaven 🙂

It’s been another productive day. I went to the chiropractor early this morning to address some hip pain that started last week. I now have stretches that should help. Picked up prescriptions and strawberries from Sobeys. $2.50 - $1 Driscoll’s coupon = $1.50 lb. Daycare kid slept most of the morning again, so I spent the time in the back yard with our own children. Hoed more of the garden, weeded another area of the lawn, blew bubbles, gave the kids a snack on the deck. In the afternoon I was able to clean up in the kitchen, wash/dry a load of laundry, and cleaned up some craft supplies. After our son’s nap I was able to help him with his toy bench and helped him organize and put toys away. He has so much more floor space now, and a padded bench to sit on. The top of his dresser still needs to be tackled, but I was happy with the extra stuff that was accomplished during my work day. After supper Dh took our son to soccer and I took our twins outside to play in our front yard. I’ll step out to WM when Dh is home.
Supper was home made sweet and sour pork with rice and fresh sliced cucumber.Last edited by Angela273; Wed, Jun 13th, 2018 at 12:18 AM.

Happy Hump Day!
DS's suit is in so we are going to get it tonight.
Put away all the clean laundry last night. Load of whites are in the dryer and will be put away tonight.
Will put another load on tomorrow night and pack for night away Friday. (Free hotel and meals at casino Great night away. Love the hot tub and pool too.
Didn't get as much cooking done last night as I planned but at least I cleaned out the fridge a bit. Cut up all the cucumbers for the pasta salad I made DS. I made the yummiest Greek wrap last night for dinner. I sautéed mushrooms and onion in a pan and then mixed in the cooked chicken and Feta cheese. I was really good!

I'll be posting two free bowling coupons in the trade forum soon. Eligible locations can be found at www.bowlcanada.ca and the coupon does not cover shoe rental. Expiry date is December 31, 2018. I just thought I'd post here first in case anyone wanted them.

Last night, I did not find any $1 reduced produce bags at Walmart but did get some bananas, a 67 cent English cucumber and a bag of carrots. Longos had 99cents clearance Japanese salad dressing in original or miso so I bought one of each plus a $2 clearance box of sea salt/rosemary crostini (salty and oily goodness) and a newspaper.
Cooked 3/4 of a 900g package of rotini pasta last night and sliced cucumber and carrots while waiting for the water to boil. Forgot to add celery from the sticks I had prepped in the fridge, so added celery this morning after I had breakfast (pasta salad with 3 pc of crostini). Used one bottle of dressing last night and will have enough pasta/veggies/dressing for another batch of salad likely by Friday.
Had 4 beer cans to return to today and with other change, I deposited $1.50 into my account. Will try to spot cans as they seem more scarce due to bus detour on the route that runs most of the day, 7 days per week (heck, I was thinking there is a can drought). I don't check baseball or soccer fields as I have seen at least two fathers with young kids that come into the beer store with a bin or bags full of cans from sports fields.
Found two expired McDonalds coupons and a June 17 FreshWorks coupon (won't get product soon) to recycle from my sleeve of coupons.
Glad for the early bird posting of flyers here on SC (and blog posts) so I intend to buy $2.49 pop on the Saturday 1 day sale at Shoppers. Just have to not spend any money prior to Saturday unless it's can deposit cash going into my account.
Talize sale notes-
Sun June 17-50% off ties
Mon June 18-50% off clothing sale with doors opening at 7am2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

I was a day early posting about World Cup-that begins tomorrow (Thursday) not today. Sorry if I disappointed other soccer fans hoping for a 9am legal beer in Toronto this morning!

Gratitude must be shared that many Ontario universities have recorded their various convocation ceremonies. If the schools don't have Youtube channels, chances are that the webcasts have a link from the Convocation pages on the schools' websites.
I was able to find one ceremony with a distant relative's graduation from last Friday. I managed to see another relative's video clip posted online for her sibling's ceremony but have yet to see if her school has the whole ceremony posted online. I do like hearing the speeches and seeing what the cameras capture (some schools have a stationery camera at the back of the venue that occasionally zooms in and other schools have at least two or three cameras taking in different vantage points or scanning the audience too).2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

@Ciel I thought of you when I found three McDonald's coffee stickers on my walk yesterday. Lots of them in the garbage at McDonald's and I wonder why people don't collect them for free coffee.
Trying to be frugal now as I overspent at a warehouse sale in Burlington - old Target stock is still being sold.

I put a few beer cans/bottles in the recycling bin yesterday. Surprised I haven't seen the usual man that comes around on recycling day looking for empties lately.

I noticed that some residents have empty bottles and cans in their blue boxes but don't know if they are picked up by others. Hamilton has a rule against purloining things from blue boxes at a curb, but on Mohawk Rd E, I've seen people riding and stopping by blue boxes with empty beer containers.
Just came across an article about the summer of life skills for tweens/teens that might prompt some memories for the parents of kids in these age groups:
https://www.thespec.com/living-story...f-life-skills/
Another article that will be of interest to parents of small kids that love the outdoors or visit others who live in rural areas-check for ticks because their bites release neurotoxins that can cause kids to be unable to walk or worse.

It’s been a long day already. I don’t really want to post about it on here right now. We are doing our best to advocate for our children, a second opinion has been scheduled. Stressful and not over yet. No matter what, they will be ok.

@Angela273 keeping you in my thoughts. Parenting is tough. My parenting goal is to raise decent humans. My 18 yr old is not graduating this year, but he is a good kid and in my opinion a decent human being so that's good enough for me in this moment.
The end is near with my moms move. Only two more weekends of this craziness and she will be settled. I plan to take her to dinner Saturday night. This is our 1st Father's Day without dad and brunch will be too hard. Monday is our 24th wedding anniversary and I am out of town for work so we will so something special next weekend. DH is home with the boys on dads day. He understands why I need to be with mom. The older child has planned a BBQ that he will prepare and I will make my famous cookies he loves and hopefully I'll be back in time for dinner.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
