Home Hardware's Summer issue of Home at Home discusses painting front doors and garage doors. There's yet another cedar plant ladder project but this one is more like a small stepladder on one side, and easel legs on the other side. Hmm, the online issue link seems to be missing pages....

Which reminds me--I'd like to paint the bathroom radiator next month when the temperatures are cooler.

I set up my July spreadsheet table for expenses yesterday (glad!). I'm still behind on catching up on past days' entries and the food costs.

Have decided my shoes purchase will be delayed and I'll get the sale jacket (has a hood, zipper and snaps which is good considering my 5 month old umbrella is now junk) and a couple of things I need instead next Thursday>pants quest continues.

There are old bath towels to ease into the garbage can because they really are a waste of time to launder and take up limited storage space. Someone thought a super-long microfiber towel was a good idea except when it's hung on an upper towel bar, the bottom of the towel overhangs my towel bar.

My room still needs trim and windows to be scraped and painted--simply not keen on that because I'll have to juggle where clothes will be during this process and the heavy lifting of windows---there's not enough sugar to interest me yet....

Recently, I've been daydreaming about replacing the love seat and sofa in the living room with four armchairs >to end someone's sleeping on the sofa and get rid of the pillows with the current furnishings. Keen to have more decor daydreams this weekend to feel inspired during the hot weather.

This morning I donated two grocery bags full of food and toiletries to our local food bank. While at the Salvation Army I purchased 3 dresses for $14.

I posted new Daycare poster at the mall. I have additional posters in my van, ready to be updated around town.

I called Sobeys on Thursday and ordered 37lbs of lean ground beef for today. The meat is on sale for $2.77/lb.
$103 oop and earned 205 Air Miles = $21.58 towards a future purchase.
The meat worked out to $2.20/lb, when I consider the points value.

edit: I now two stacks of lean ground beef in our chest freezer. I made burger patties for tonight’s supper and more in the freezer for future meals. I have 2 cookie sheets of meatballs in the oven now. I’m tired now, so put 2 family packs in the freezer, to make into more meatballs or burger patties.

Hi all. I went to SDM before heading out of town today. Stocked us up and 20x the points. Its my usual splurge after a casino visit/win. But today was the only day (one day sale) guess i gave my self good luck because im killing it here lol. I bought chicolate milk, white milk, toothpaste, toilet paper, eggs, burger patties for tomorrow and buns. Oh and 4 bags of Doritos and ruffles hidden for when needed lol

Already been in pool and now waiting for beef tenderloin with potatoes and asparagus. Maybe another swim before bed.

Today was the 1st 20x event I have made in months and I killed it. 32000 points earned and used a gift card purchased when the gift card promo was on. I had an offer for miss vickies and they were on sale for 2/5.00 which is amazing without the points so I have tucked those away for future but with summer and teenagers they won't last long.

I bought 4 Folgers instant coffee that was on sale at shoppers basically all that was on the shelf and a 25$ gift card to amazon.ca and used 10,000pts. Then I went to petsmart and they were giving out gift cards and I got $5 off my purchase.

I'm sure you and DH will figure out a way to have her visit you at your place during different times of the year so your sons can be with her and spend time together. Not to mention that you all can cook in your new kitchen and make new memories! I wish for you to have the opportunity to just relax and enjoy your home on this long weekend or sometime in July while the sun shines. @SassyAshley -Glad you got your fruit and vegetables that let you have weekend time to yourself while dealing with the cold. Lots of changes at your workplace in the first half of 2018 with you being a key person (corporate MacGyver)-could be a chance to review the changes and see if you see opportunities (for delegation or maybe nominating other staff to step into new roles or for a future role you want to grow into, then you can think of who might be suited to step into your current roles) for the second half of 2018. @thriftygranny -hello! I'd be keen to know what you've learned about customers in your business. Vintage clothing definitely is hot retail market and knowing what your area will support in buying helps your bottom line. @Angela273-you are striking while the irons are hot during the last week of school. May you get the teaching job or summer daycare contract that gives you what you want!
Well Ciel I have learned lots in my year of business. Best of all I love it!! I had dreams of selling cute little dresses from the fifties/ sixities, however my biggest clientele are men, which is fine with me because I love finding and curating men's clothing, nineties clothing is huge right now which seems like it shouldn't even be classified as vintage!! I sell to lots to hip hop artists, and have provided several pieces to movie costume sets. I also have a passion for vintage linens and I love bringing them back to life, and vintage wool blankets are huge. All in all I am just doing something I love!
