Happy New Year to All!!! It's a little stormy here this morning -7 feels like -17, windy, snow ...+25cm of snow in the forecast for the next couple of days

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
Issued at 05:22 Monday 31 December 2018
A snowy start to 2019.
Meteorologists continue to monitor a developing system which is expected to bring winter weather to Newfoundland this week. Forecast guidance indicates that snow, heavy at times, will likely spread across the Island's south coast on New Year's Day, before pushing into eastern and northeastern Newfoundland on Tuesday night. The snow is forecast to continue into Wednesday over some areas, accompanied by with strong winds resulting in blowing snow and reduced visibilities.
There remains some uncertainty regarding the track of this storm. However, snowfall accumulations of 15 to 30 cm are possible.
This statement will be updated as more information becomes available, and may need to be expanded to adjacent areas. Anyone planning travel or other weather-sensitive activities is advised to watch for further alerts.

BLIZZARD WARNING
Issued at 15:59 Monday 31 December 2018
Blizzard conditions with gusty winds and visibility frequently near zero in snow and blowing snow are expected or occurring.
Snow, at times heavy, is forecast to develop Tuesday night and will continue through Wednesday into Wednesday night. The heavy snowfall will combine with strong winds to produce blizzard conditions with near zero visibilities in snow and blowing snow.
Strong southeasterly winds will accompany the snow Tuesday night with gusts reaching up to 100 km/h along exposed areas of the coast. Snowfall amounts are expected to reach 10 to 20 cm by early Wednesday morning before winds shift to strong northerlies.
Blizzard conditions will persist through Wednesday into Wednesday night as north to northwesterly winds continue to strengthen, in combination with more snowfall. Latest guidance indicates potential for an additional 10 to 20 cm or more by Thursday morning, resulting in storm totals possibly exceeding 40 cm over some areas.

Happy New Year!
At least we are out of the bizarre frigid temps...
Windchill -21, temp -12
However the windchill will go up to -31 midday, but then the big winds will warm us up to -7.

Well I've renewed my membership in the polar bear club.
Of course, the pool is heated, and it's 82 degrees outside.
What? Still counts!@
