@walkonby - I had never heard this before, what a cool song and vid!

Hopefully the bed prob is solved.

Carla came to do physio, but on the bed they had me in, when the side railing goes down it just stays there, doesn't tuck away. If you sit at the side of the bed, then, your legs have to go over that railing, like the underside of the thigh touches. So it's uncomfy for meals, but for physio it was a no go.
No way could I haul myself up to standing because I couldn't take off from a good position. Tried everything, of course I cried, physio said I did enough by trying and all the darned scooching I had to do.

So she went to the unit coordinator, bypassing head nurse, to explain the problem and that the goal was to have me be more independent, not less.
She won, and got me a bed the same model that I had had.
So all should be okay now.
My nurse was kinda peeved because she had thought yesterday that she had searched and found me the perfect bed. Nope.

Just waiting for supper. My tummy has been growling for hours already!

This afternoon I got on here and ranted and raved, but then pushed a button wrong and it all disappeared.

Short story- my income tax guy had gone home sick and no one in his office knew. I wasted 2 hours just futsing around waiting for the meeting and now have to put it off until Monday.

My move date is March 12. So the ball has started to roll.

I forgot it was Robbie Burns day today. Ah well, I no longer have a kilt, anyway.

Bought a rolled up piece of fake grass that turned out to be someone's former putting hole. Now we can get out on the patio without killing ourselves in the process. But the diva puppy doesn't like the feel of it on her little tootsies -TDB!

Haven't accomplished much today. But did donate a pile of stuff to the Mennonite Relief Store.

I tried to get in a few zzz's this afternoon but my aunt (we grew up like cousins) called. Just when you think you have it tough- you realize you are nowhere near the situation that other people deal with.

I think I am going to head off to dreamland pretty soon.

@Natalka , thanks for finding that video... I played it for my Hubby and he enjoyed it, too...I just love them and if they ever get to TO again, I'd hope we could snag tickets!

Nothing on the agenda today, just continuing my self imposed hybernation and vigil for Spring.

Good morning, Happy Caturday!

Woke up to a winter wonderland, lots of fresh snow. My window overlooks the front of the hospital, so the first thing in my view are three big flags.
It's supposed to go up to minus two today!

Had a good night, even though I was in a few times. My husband was here late evening (bearing a kolbassa sandwich, Hickory Sticks, and Ritz) and as we were talking I could feel the sleeping pill kick in.... usually I am in bed and don't really notice.

When the nurse came to do vitals and give meds this morning, she said she had come by earlier but I was sleeping so nicely she didn't have the heart to wake me, so she left me to last - and I was already up by then.

My oil came, husband brought it last night. They are keeping it locked in the narcotics cabinet until security gets me a lockbox to keep in my room, and only I will have the key. Hospital policy. I would just as soon they kept it.
Anyway, had my first dose this morning - smells like skunk, tastes like skunk!

Since it's the weekend, whether or not I have physio is up in the air.

Packing things into boxes labeled "Oddly Shaped Things" - but, before you say it -no-there is no room in there for me! But, boy is it heavy! Ok- do your best.

Having a quick bite.

I cleaned the sink with some "lavender-flavoured" Lysol. Holy Moly-instant headache! Into the garbage THAT goes!
Matched up the plastic containers-these are like socks in the wash -WHERE could the other part be??

Well, I am going to sit down for a few minutes and then parcel Tootie up for a quick walk on the putting green- and then my shower. I'm going to drop into my BrotherB 's place to check out the leather recliner and the head over to BrotherR's place to go out for supper with him. So Tootie better not be a diva as she won't get back outside til much later.

Once again I am washing all the bedding and I folded up our sleeper bed. This makes her nervous-WHERE will we sleep, mummy?

Yeah, sure it is kinda long and annoying to hear the chorus repeated BUT a great way to sing along to learn the words. My toes are still tapping!



o.k so I think I figured out why I liked this silly animal tune so much!! if you listen to John Denver when he sings chorus of Thank God I'm A Country Boy it sounds very similar to me?? John's song is faster but they both make ya wanna dance!!
