Two days before May and it's time to have a new thread started on the deals and finds (including on garden centre finds)!

Before heading out to shop for any grilling action, do the usual safety checks on your bbq (gasline test with soapy water, cleaning out nooks and crannies of resident insects, finding the grill racks under any leftover carbon, checking if the wire brush can be replaced with a wooden scraper or alternate device) and make sure your food coupons are current! Schneiders has a sausage coupon offer that is valid from May 1-31 only.

my BBQ fell apart.... so its now replaced with a shiny and new one. i will add that it feels very good to be frugal when needed.. so i can afford to just go and get a new bbq , the same day it died.

i also did buy a wooden scraper. àà

I am waiting for some decent meat sales!!!!

Went to GT to buy the Chapman's ice cream. (6.92 for 3 cartons of ice cream and 1 box of the ice cream/popsicle on a stick) Cheaper then 1 Blizzard. My boy is set for awhile. (he likes to make milkshakes!)
Soya sauce reg. $1.88 on for $1. thought I should grab it to have in cupboard (DS loves chicken fried rice) rang in at $1.88 so free for me

    Morning!!

Last night while getting dinner together I cleaned the spice cupboard and the fridge. Cleaned the kitchen as I went and ran the dishwasher after 7pm. DS made a smoothie later in the evening and I reminded him to clean up and he washed up the blender and put it away. Win for the mom! I have all the dirty laundry in the laundry room and did 2 loads last night. I have 2 loads of whites to do tonight but I need to pick up bleach on the way home.

Off to check out my PC pt offers

Yikes, I forgot! I've been running some laundry loads midday this week including today! Thanks for the reminder--will put a notice on the washer tonight.

@coupon girl -given the chilly air of recent days, wearing jammies and staying indoors sounds like a plan! I spent some time yesterday morning doing the same thing-I felt off before the downpour so went to bed. Was back up in afternoon and did not feel off before the late afternoon rain (round 2) and stayed home to keep dry.

Started some lawn mowing today-had just a little gas in the can (aka 10min of mowing time) before I had to go and buy some gas. Returned some containers for more deposit cash on the way. Meals today were pantry surprise-find something to eat or to open from the pantry and add something else to make a meal. In other words, certain staples have not been restocked. I have been eating instant oatmeal from the large box sibling bought from Costco recently (cold air this week!) too.

Received word that a relative has passed away. While it was expected, it is hard to accept the person is gone. So many memories...
