@Lynn49 lol it’s ok, I think 11 miles was a bit much. Not that I couldn’t do it but I didn’t get home until almost 5pm. And I was sore for a while afterwards. Tomorrow I’m going to go a shorter distance. However I want to get one last walk in since the forecast shows 7 days of rain starting Monday.

Good morning all .
Well yesterday I fell. In the morning didnt think much of it thought I sprain my ankle. But 2 hours later I realized it was much worse so off to the emergency where the took xrays and confirm it is fractured. I have a splint for now have to go back tomorrow to the fracture clinic. I am so upset with myself that the nice weather is here and I would be lying on a couch.
I am on crutches but very clumsy using it I guess I will learn as the days goes by. Now Ingave to depend on my DDS and DH to do most of the simple things for me . I am getting very frustrated and it’s only 1 day.

@Darth Penguin - your family is like mine- well, my BrotherB's. My older nephew will be going to university in the fall but he is going away to be a counselor at a camp for the whole summer- starting in 2 weeks. 😥 The younger nephew starts high school in the fall. There is no other nephew.

Hold on tight to them! Hugs and snuggles while you can.

I'm running late so I have to go. Enjoy the weather that you have. Ours is beautiful by the looks of it!

Good morning from the island!!

Sure is different without my DD here, but we chatted for over an hour on the phone last night. The class went from 8am to 7:30pm, so she just ordered dinner up and wine, lol, chatted with me, then crashed. I was wrong about her hotel...she's at OneKingWest...they stayed there before because they love the architecture, and the fact that she has an apartment, plus it's a few steps to her course.
Day 2 today, strictly Chapter 7, maybe 9. Sunday, chapter 8.

Today DH and SIL will build our deck fencing, thank goodness it's another gorgeous day!
SIL and GS will be at dinner at his friend's camp a short drive from here, who owns two restaurants in Sudbury, one if which SIL happily works at in the winter.

Moi? Visiting, chatting with passers-by and generally relaxing.

Does anyone have a LAVA LAMP? We're giving our GS cash for his b'day, but he's mentioned that lamp in the past so I though it would be fun for him in his room, but jeepers, the reviews are from one extreme to the other on Amazon!

@flemeth , so sorry to hear about your fracture, believe me I know how frustrating it is to feel so helpless! You have loved ones who will now take care of YOU...perhaps a lesson in patience and understanding for everyone. It sure taught me some valuable lessons, flemeth.....relax into it and watch the world turn without you for a while. Life will become crazy again soon enough.... for now, just relax, heal and get well.

I wanted to like a few posts but it won’t let me currently. Got back from today’s walk. I went a little less than last time but that’s ok. It’s currently +29 and I didn’t want to overdo it. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Am done chopping onions and doing a coleslaw for supper prep.
Husband will have to do the cooking later.

When I was up at seven, I actually considered putting the heat on, but didn't. I did have a fan blasting at me all night, but I was snuggled up.

@flemeth - had to pop in and say how sorry I am to hear about your fall and fracture. Poopy, poopy, poopy! You got through that whole slippery winter and now..... I guess that means the universe istelling you to rest. Let others care for you! My tablet is about to quit-. See you tomorrow!

Good morning all
Will be going to the fractured clinic in a little bit.
Everyone is telling me I should make a complain to the city since there is all the skinny pipes laying at the edge of everyone drive way and I didn’t see it and that’s what causes me to fall. Not sure what is going on with all the construction in my neighbourhood..
