What's For Dinner?

..had a great party, lots of people showed up, and LOTS of guitar playing & singing (and some dancing lol) too much food...some brought dips, etc so I didn't even get to cook scallops & wings, etc..so that's all leftover for Football Sunday (not to mention all the part bottles of wine)

DH felt like being the cook last night ( well in between all the sports games on tv )
Eventually somewhere near 1 a.m. he put the finishing touches on a massive pot full of spaghetti and meat sauce, grated up and mixed together 3/4 of a large cabbage and a few carrots for a coleslaw, and defrosted a pkg of large sausages ( Hoagies? ) to be cooked up sometime today I am guessing.

I have not cooked anything since Thanksgiving.....the fridge was so chock-a-block with various leftovers so I forced myself to wait it all out. I went shopping just this morning, first trip since Oct 10th I think? That is an eternity for me. ha ha

Mom cooked a roast the other day for sandwiches but said it came out too dry for Sandwiches so I whipped up a Sheppard's Pie today. Chopper up the Roast, made Mushrooms Gravy and topped with Mashed Potatoes. Also making some potato buns to go with the gravy

Such a lovely day will have maybe the final BBQ of the season. Season starts with Hot Dogs and ends with ..... Hot Dogs!!!

Tonight was homemade Chinese food , stir fry , chicken ball , egg rolls ,sweet and sour chicken ,rice and deep fry wontons, busy day in the kitchen preparing this for few friends dropping by for supper

I did a bunch of cooking on the weekend so tonight is whatever you grab from the fridge. I think I am going to have Chicken Fajita Bake, just need to make the sauce to go on the top.

..didn't get a chance to cook the scallops yesterday so definitely have to cook them today! they are the baby scallops so will either cook them with butter & garlic etc or maybe make an alfredo pasta
