Oh dear, @GoJays that is so funny! It makes my eye twitch, too! My late DJ used to straighten pictures that weren't exactly right in offices, and even other people's homes (when they weren't looking. He would have definitely had to sit facing away from that one.)
My DH's mother, who just turned 92, has been put into palliative care and is failing rapidly, her daughter told the family last night. She has advanced Alzheimer's and has not had a happy existence for a few years. Prayers/supportive thoughts for the family would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Got to run. Busy day.

I went from this...
to this...
uber tired...then the sh!t just hit the fan at work...
Any who...
a little under 5" of snow on the ground when we left home this morning...drive in was absolutely horrid...a normal 1.2 hour took us almost 3.5...FUN!
My coworker did message me on my way in to see if I was alright in the traffic and, God Bless her heart, got me a nice hot Starbucks beverage was sitting waiting for me at my desk when I arrived (the coffee...not her, she sits a few seats over)DANGER

Ok, @danger_dan , I was so concerned something happened to you, your Lady or Cooper!! I'm also happy to hear (as your Lady would be) that your co-worker wasn't sitting on your desk upon your arrival. A distraction to be sure, but truly not acceptable, PC office procedure, I'm guessing?
I hope that sh!t has straightened out for you today!

@Lynn49 - I was so glad she won, she has mad artistic skills as well as being a great Baker.
Happy Thursday, everyone!
Our son came over last night to shovel, and to get the outdoor extension cord out because it is that time already!
I could barely eat yesterday, hoping better for today.

whew! @danger_dan I too was about to inquire about that post you made.
Traveling over 3 hours just to get to work is awful! At least their was caffeine at the end of the journey!
@Natalka I loved that comparison post you made of the foods Brittany and Oksana would make upon being wed! ha ha @avoncallingu sorry about your MIL going into palliative acre. ((( hugs )))
Now...who can I blame for us getting SNOW overnight!
@Lynn49 !!! We had none until i started reading your posts about the white stuff.
I did a classic buffoon move today.
DD came down stairs rushing trying to get her shoes on to dash for the bus. She said casually " I can't believe we got snow! "
to which I blurted " WHAT?..we did? " ( clearly I had not looked out a window when I woke up )
Excited to see how much we got I jumped up from my computer chair to get to the front door, but I tripped completely over my filing box, ( which I place strategically across to block Rufus from entering my chair/desk space ) and did the full splat!
( owies to my boobs! ) are we supposed to put our arms/hands out to break our falls? I didn't.
I was o.k., just felt so silly.
Even funnier was DD trying to be concerned, quickly saying " you o.k.? " while simultaneously exiting the house!
Hey I get it, you miss a bus you're punished with waiting for the next one.
As she left DS came rushing down from the bedroom..." everything alright? " I put his mind at ease, only a bruised ego really.
Can ya imagine if wee Rufus had been in the path of my fall? Thank goodness he was snoozing in his bed!
Physio and 2 quick errands later and I was back home. Yuck....snow! I am not pleased!

Hello friends, just got back from a first appointment with my BrotherR's neurologist. It was exhausting and then I am going to be going to our church Spaghetti Supper to work on the Bake Table for an hour and then eat and then -choir. So I am relaxing for a while.
@walkonby - I hope you don't ignore any post-fall symptoms in the next day. Maybe your boobs need attending to. Not recommending by whom....😄
I haven't been following the Bake Off but am glad your favourite won!
Well, I am off to lie down for a while -perchance to snooze.
Nice and sunny here now but pretty chilly.
See ya!

Hahaha.. @Natalka , how true is that?!! Love it!!!
@avoncallingu , so sorry to hear about your MIL....will your SIL be changing his travel plans to go back home?
Well, our flights and resort have now been booked, tickets, dining plan all done. Now the loooooong wait!!
So y'all finally got snow down there, too, huh? I'm afraid our halloween snowfall won't be leaving us, this is it for winter. I can't believe how early this is! I remember when I bought my Hubby his new driver that he was out in the back yard, green grass, taking swings with it!! Stupid white crap.
Drive home carefully if that's what the plan is...take good care and have a lovely evening!!
