Ahem...( shy post ) @cabmonk I BRAGGED about you today in my physio class!! ( no names were used )
I just spoke about how amazing you look and feel now! Trying to inspire and encourage the other souls at class as well as a reminder to myself not to give up!
So....has anyone else put up their Christmas tree yet?? If I say " asking for a friend " would anyone fall for that?
I have literally thrown caution to the wind this year ( for the first time in many years ) and put our large artificial tree up in the basement. It's placed well back in a corner with the recliner strategically set nearby.
I pray the cats won't attempt a " climb " ....their cat climber is directly across the room, so no excuses.
I pondered doing the baricade gate thing to deter them but that just takes away from the pretty look.
I've seen photos online where people with both young kids AND pets have dealt with it drastically, making it look like a prison.
o.k. so everybody get busy now and think about putting yours up real soon.

@walkonby, our DD had the same thoughts about their 2 very mischievous Siamese twins...not so much knocking the balls off the tree, but toppling it. I suggested a Command hook (or 2) on the wall behind it with the tree tied to it with something green, like yarn. Might work. Although having met those two, I'm pretty sure they'd figure out a way to flip the yarn off the hooks!
No tree here yet, waiting to find out when the kids are free for a tree-trimming dinner here.
@avoncallingu, I'm still here, just busy with Christmas and March holiday planning; nice to hear that everything went well in Chatham and that you got home earlier than expected. Bet you're fast asleep right now.

@GoJays , the second one has to be my choice, lol....when my Hubby vacuums Jenny sneaks off to wherever he isn't. What is it with dogs and vacuums?
We've had 4 dogs, 1 cat, and not one of them were interested in our Christmas trees, presents, nothing! Oh. There was this one time I had to pull tinsel out of our cat's butt, but she got it off the floor, not the tree.
Sunshiny day, but it looks less like spring with the sprinkle of snow we got overnight.
PA day, so we have our GS here....he's about to set out my village, so decorating has begun!!
@walkonby , you got a head-start on me this year! I hope you're sleeping in this morning!
Enjoy the day, everyone!

We have never had cats bother the tree, either - you just have to train them away from it right away.
We haven't had tinsel butt, but that narrow ribbon one can curl. Gah! Later found out that can actually be deadly...
I was able to catch up on some sleep yesterday, but I know one can't fully do that after three bad nights. Will try to get a nap in soon.
Nurse has already come, says my leg is looking great, and they may not have to debride it - that would be awesome.
Hope you all have a Fab Friday!
