My guy is on call this weekend. I went along for the ride. We went to Georgian Downs for breakfast and use the free $40 free play they put on my card. Made $75 and change to cash out! Only $8 in food comps so paid $15 cash for balance owing so left with $60 cash and change. Not bad at all.
Also checked the Flashfood app for the local Zehrs and ordered a $5 veggie box. It has tons of peppers, mini peppers, zucchini and eggplant.
Going to take a walk around Costco after his call.
The best part is being able to chat while we drive around.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Thank you for your comments, I will post on this a little later as I am only online for a short time right now.
I do usually try to work on something well I am binge watching TV but right now, I have no crochet projects on the go and now with cleaning up I see just how many completed projects I have with no real use for. My hope is to sell these items at some point but for some reason right now I feel like now is not the time, first I need to get the house in order. Which I admit we are getting there but still have a few more areas to tackle but it is not easy work and do not think my back can handle right now. The one area involves moving a bunch of furniture to clean the area and the other has a lot of boxes that need to be moved.
My concern is if I just binge watch right now I will resort to working. Up until this week everything was going well at work but one we are preparing for our yearly reviews and my boss has already warned me part of my review will involve restructuring my job. I am not against taking some stuff off my plate and putting different projects on my plate but right now change is not my friend. Also I think this is part of a bigger plan (which I do not know anything about) as Dad was CC on the email. Also on Thursday was a travel day for Dad and Bro and they sent me a number of things I need to do so I am not behind, grrrrr. I do not mind these projects but up until now I have been really good at keeping on top of everything which has been helping me feel in control at least a work.
I was digging through some crochet stuff last night and I still need to figure out how to organize my part balls of yarn. Well to my surprise Mom asked me to bring it back downstairs (it has been upstairs from when we had our new internet & cable installed) and she started to clean it up. I offered to help but she said no she was finding it relaxing to have a job she could do sitting on the couch.
Alright got a few more thing to tackle today, better get back at it. Have a great day everyone2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

I had Youtube app crash on me twice last night-not a fan, as said clips were ones that ran without issues back in 2018 and now the app was saying it cannot open the large file.

I also found out there's an Armoress
on The Mandolorian-now I understand the Dad comments (though Mando agewise is very much younger than his charge--I saw a new fan clip video where Baby Yoda makes a subtitled comment along those lines) made in relation to Baby Yoda/The kid. Someone has launched a Change.org petition to make Baby Yoda an emoji for keyboard use. 64K of 75K signatures have been obtained so far...
Yesterday was job jar (if you read the Hi & Lois comics years ago, you know about that jar) day-got the last towel bar up (yes, the bracket at one end had to be moved around 180degrees and now holds the bar end (finally...), washed those microfibre cloths (the third one was on my headboard all week but I did not see it until yesterday, did laundry and some housecleaning in the afternoon. The chicken stuffed pepper soup tastes great as long as I don't overdo portion sizes and I have two bags of soup in the freezer for other weeks. Had to toss my forgotten Napa cabbage leaves from the fridge and moved someone's apples to the crisper.
A friend has ordered my new runners online today and I gave her the money plus a little extra as thank you. Looking forward to next week!
Need some baking momentum as I miss quick loaves with my tea (which is happily being consumed more on these snowy days).
Since I seem to be alone in eating my roasted potatoes (as well of brown rice and quinoa) of late, this weekend will be free of more roasted spuds. I'll bake the remaining box of frozen meatballs so they are ready for anyone having a need for cooked spaghetti (did a recent pasta stocking) with some jarred sauce.
Saturday seems very delightful when one's skin is sufficiently moisturized against the cold temperatures. Less sandpaper feeling

I'm a week late in finding out that the Ines de la Fressange spring collection at Uniqlo Canada went live on January 30.
https://www.facebook.com/UniqloCanad...-y7M&__tn__=-R
Zara Home has posted some new things for Kids Collection decor as well.
Daylight Savings Time is one month away (yikes!) but we at least have a Leap Day on February 29 this year.

I taught a .6 morning yesterday.
Dh got an oil change and fuel filter change on his truck today. He saved $32.34 with a coupon.
I took twin girl shopping with me. We bought her a pair of pants for $2 at one second hand store.
Salvation Army
$5 jeans for Dh (hard to find his size)
$5 burgundy sweater for me, good for teaching
$4 blue t-shirt for me
Then I used a 10% discount and saved $1.30 off those 3 items.Last edited by Angela273; Sat, Feb 8th, 2020 at 06:47 PM.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Busy but good day here but a good day.
Yesterday I tried to do as much cleaning as I could, still not back to being fully myself yet and am afraid to anger my back as I am hoping to go back to working in the office tomorrow. So I got the Kitchen Clean, emptied the Dishwasher, reloaded the Dishwasher and did the hand dishes. I also cleaned the Bathroom but did not do the floors (think the floors might be pushing my luck). I also did the laundry. As well I made an apple cake to use up some old apples I found.
I also shoveled the stairs, cleaned the fridge and took out the garbage. I think I might have pushed my back too far when I carried a 10 lb bag of flour upstairs as we were out of flour. That was enough for me so I sat with the heating pad.
I will admit I also did some work yesterday, I am trying to get myself organized, I have so much on my plate right now I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. Yesterday I proof read 2 manuals, wrote 1 manual and recording 2 videos but for some reason the audio did not record on 1 so I have to re do it. All and all I only spent an hour working so I still consider that a win.
Now on to today. I wanted to get my cleaning done yesterday so I could cook today. I made:
One Pot Chicken Lo Mien for Lunches this week
I made a batch of Potato buns, half was turned into Buns to go with Dinner, the other half I turned into Everything Bagel Bombs (bad news, I think my Bread Machine is on it's last legs, I tried looking for a replacement part online but for about $40 to $50 I might as well just get a new bread machine)
Strawberry Crustless Pie to use up Strawberries that were on their last legs
A batch of Waffles I will put in the freezer for later use (Breakfasts & Desserts)
A batch of Peanut Butter Oat Bars for snacks this week
I have a batch of Beef Stew on the Stove which will be tonight's dinner plus another option for lunches this week
I cleaned as I was working so the Kitchen is clean with the exception of the Dinner dishes which should mostly fit in the dishwasher.
I have noticed now that we are making so much at home these days our uses of certain items have changed. I am going to need to stock up on more Flour and Sugar for baking. I see both are on sale this week which is good.
I am going to try to get the video that had no audio re recorded and record one more video today since I cannot record them at work due to background noise. I also want to go over my budget and see if I can move things around.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
