I, too, have many items of embroidery - most done by my paternal Baba.
My son appreciates them, so they will go to him. Most precious is the rushnyk embroidered by my Baba, which we used for our wedding ceremony. The embroidery Is very detailed, colourful and gorgeous.
One piece of her embroidery, I think it's a pillow, is at one of the Ukrainian museums here in Saskatoon and was featured in their calendar a few years ago.

Had a rough afternoon and evening yesterday - very bad nausea from the methotrexate I take Monday. I nodded to off and on, so that helped.
This morning both my legs - knees- were in such pain my husband had to hold each and inch them off the bed so I could sit. There were many tears...

We had light rains yesterday, that is to continue over the next few, along with low 20s temps. Just fine for me!

Omgosh, @GoJays , that's SO me lately.

Big overnight rain here on the island....much like Camelot...we sure needed it here, but I'm not certain it was enough to lift the fire ban.
Transients should be arriving today. Phhht. Its beem lovely here with just us seasonal renters. No tenters though, since public washrooms and showers remain closed.

Have barely slept, so decided to make an early start to the day, having tea and meds, then pb&j for brekkie so husband doesn't have to bother with anything.

Husband's checkup gave no answers, he also got an EKG. Blood test results weren't in yet, though.

Today will be low 20s and sun 🌞.

On Saturday DH was my ride along to do 3 small but needed grocery store stops, thank goodness he came with me as that heat was cruel. Once home I started on the double recipe of meatloaf. ( turned out so yummy! ) Then, after lunch and R & R it was time to begin the Chicken Adobo with some plain cooked rice. ( I still LOVE my rice cooker )

The beef empanadas are not going to make themselves so that will be my project for today at some point.

We're still contemplating asking the dealership to " fix ", " refill ? " or whatever you do to the vehicle A/C because at this point it is rather useless. If I wanted tepid air blown in my face I'd....well I am too angry to think of something BUT I'd do that.
No matter, the house is nice and cool atm, and I have no outside duties that require my attendance.

Maybe I need wine? What pairs with beef empanadas?

Hi, got a question for you all. Where did you get your eggroll wrappers. I used to buy the Tenderflake ones but they dont sell them anymore in my area.

Today is my third granddaughters concert. She has been taking singing lessons for years now and is quite good. 3 years ago she performed at the St Jean Baptiste festivities. This is more low key but it will be the first time in 2 years we have seen her perform. It is in a church setting and we have to pay to get in. I am so looking forward to this. We had to buy our tickets in advance and we have assigned seats within our family bubble. Concert starts at 4PM, after Mass, Baptisims and so on.
