Had a fabulous evening last night with my bestie. Dinner out and then we went back to her place and had a few drinks and danced and sang the night away Her husband came home after hockey and made us popcorn and grilled cheese haha! Was a fun night!

DS has a hockey game tonight. I will go to No Frills before the game and redeem for TP (Thanks Ciel!!) and a few other items for the house A fun little free shop which I am looking forward to.

Hoping next time I go Costco has Romaine (they were out last time I went) and their price has not skyrocketed

Change in plans, checked on my roast at 4 pm and unless we wanted to eat at 6:30/7 I needed a new plan.

Last night when I was getting ready for bed, maybe it was because I stocked up on Soya Sauce yesterday I thought "we have not made any Chinese Style dishes lately, I should add this to our meal plan." So tonight when I needed to pivot I made Instant Pot Chicken Hibachi. I made this before as a Lunch Meal Prep and we enjoyed it.

Everytime I use my Instant Pot I question why I do not use it more often but honestly, it still makes me a little nervous. With a slow cooker, oven, air fryer you can open it and check on your meal you cannot do that with the Instant Pot. But we have found a handful of recipes we love.

Well the Roast was cooking I also made rice to go with Dinner and baked an Apple Crisp. I still have so many Apples to use up but put a dent in it with the Apple Crisp.

Thinking I will make Chocolate Chip Cookies tomorrow, I have been craving something Chocolatey lately. Generally I do not make a lot of Chocolate recipes unless it for a gathering of some sort, chocolate is not my go-to.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday

Ohhh i just love having the youngest little one cara .Hubby and i raked 3 bags today but left a moutain of leaves for her to run in around 4.00 when she got here i took pictures of her and papa in the leaves.lol

After supper (pasta) we had lemon cupcakes (my daughter-in-law brought for us.) Then a bath time i washed her hair we sang jingle bells , after bath played playdoh ,played with kinetic sand and pained a few colouring pages and off to bed at 7.45 she feel asleep very fast after i read her a book. You know we have to embrace days like this as grandparents as one day they will be teens and not need us as much .

My daughter-in-law will pick her up at 10.30 in the morning as they are having a friend do xmas pictures of her and ashlyn-something they missed last year .

Cookies were a bit scorched but ready for breakfast after I had my tea! Needed to add an egg to batter as the oatmeal I used to replace the walnuts in Five Roses recipe took up too much moisture and I did not want floury cookies.

Mostly a do-very-little day. Did watch Shang-Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings. That bus in the movie-cleanest looking articulated bus I have laid my eyes upon (do the bus operators really have racecar-style steering wheels?)! It's amazing what scenery was filmed for the movie in 2020! Waipo actress-almost certain she is the other remaining elder actress from Joy Luck Club movie (the other actress from JCL played grandmother in Crazy Rich Asians).

Had a long nap-was feeling like snow was imminent but I guess it did not come.

Read the PC Insider's Report that came in yesterday's mail. The shopping list insert has a $1 off coupon (on reverse side) for one of 5-6 PC Insider's items from the book. Expiry is Nov.27 or so. YMMV. I was surprised to see the print copy as the report has been digital only or limited to odd mention in various Loblaws banner store flyers in recent years.

Reminder to Super Savers-tomorrow's the last day to use your private sale coupon for 30% off clothing/shoes/accessories.

The Bay-today's one day sale has up to 50% off on Christmas trees, Christmas decor and flannel bedding. Plus a couple of other specials. Less than 45min left to chase those deals...

    Good Morning Everyone,
My patients has run out, I still feel horrible LOL.

A whole work thing blew up yesterday and I may have let my fingers do the talking. I got an email that got me super upset and I was just like, nope, seriously, you want to go there, we can go there. Basically it came down to I am one person, no one is willing to take anything off my plate because everyone else is too busy to help but on the flip side they have no issues putting more on my plate and want to question why I cannot get it all done. I am one person juggling multiple trainees, covering multiple staff members so they can take vacation or have days off plus trying to do my job. I am already working some night and a number of weekends because of all the things we have to get done when no one is logged in and when I do this I am not taking extra days off, I am just working extra hours. I cannot seem to book a day off because when I do someone else needs the day off and I need to cover and or a new staff member is coming on I have to train so yeah, I am doing my best, there is one of me and a lot of you who all want my attention. Strangely after sending that email, I felt so much better and went about my day doing household stuff.

On that note I really need to log in and start the mass upload/download and test that maintenance they did yesterday.

Also need to tackle the house, I started to feel so horrible at dinner time, I was getting light headed, I could not bend over without horrible pain and was just not in a good mood.

Tonight's dinner options are: Shepherd's Pie or Homemade Pizza

We are really low on Chicken so will probably need to find time this week to go to Costco, wasn't really in my plans but considering 95% of our meals are chicken it is a need.

Time to focus and see what I can get done, Happy Sunday everyone.

    Good morning all
@SassyAshley You need to take some time off of work to re energized and have some down time. I feel like you are always asked to do a lot of task at the same time. Everyone at your work seems to be very selfish and only think of them self you need to be more firm with yor boss, co workers and who every is sending you more of there work.

Sassy, I know we all offer advice on your work situation but it’s because we care and worry about you but what your company is doing is so wrong, I know it’s a family owned business but that gives them no right to exploit you.

I’ve baked something from scratch for the first time in about 6 months. A pan of my healthier monster cookies squares are now in the oven. Ds asked for them over a week ago. They’re very good with Icecream. I really enjoy these squares but I need to have milk or icecream with it or else the peanut butter will give me heartburn.

My son and daughter-in-law picked up cara at noon ,we had just finished some of my homemade soup.
It is a bit tiring i was woke up at 3.30 and asked to rub her back ,then i drifted in and out of sleep as i am not use to the hall light or a night light being on ,that said i still love my little grandkids.

We were out jumping in leaves at 8.00 a.m this morning,3 yearolds have a ball of energy-lol.Plus she loves water painting and drawing pictures so i gave her and ashlyn an early gift lol doll colouring book with paints attached 2.50 from dollarama yesterday .lol

I dont feel like doing much of anything right now ,so supper may be light.

Good afternoon. Well company has gone, we had a wonderful time.

Our friends really appreciated the home baking especially the homemade buns. I made a dozen large muffins so I dropped off 2 muffins to 2 sets of neighbours who have some health issues. They weren't fancy but they seem to have appreciated them.

We had quiche, buns and potato patties for brunch with them and we have leftover stew for dinner tonight. Not much to clean up but I'll strip the bed and wash the linens etc for our DD and DD partner next weekend.

We have a Diabetes clothing/housewares pick up here on Tuesday so I'll try to fill a recycling bag full today.

    Have a nice day.

    Thank you everyone.

My Dad did email me and has reached out so I feel like I am being seen which is nice because quite often I feel like because I just do my job and get it done, I am not seen. People are starting to see me crack and again it is nice to be seen.

Good news is we go on shut down in just over a month. I did try to book this Friday off but a manager is off and I am the only one who can cover and they need the day so I will be working. I might see if I can get an afternoon off this week but we will see. Right now I am just hoping I am feeling better tomorrow or it will be a very long day.

    Getting things done slowly:
    Chocolate Chip Cookies - Done
    Potato Buns - Done
*I was going to try a new recipe but these buns are so good to make leftover roast beef sandwiches
    Broccoli Cheddar Soup - Done
*Already ate half of it for lunch today.

I just checked there is an issue with maintenance they did yesterday, probably won't get fixed until tomorrow now. Mass Upload/Download is taking longer than normal *finger crossed* it is going what it's supposed too. Downside to this process it does not show you the progress so you just have to have faith it is working.

Dinner tonight will be homemade pizza. Tomorrow night we will have Shepherd's Pie, wasn't feeling the making potatoes today. I still have a massive headache and my face still hurts a lot and I just had a coughing fit which only made it worse so I am feeling very done.
